METAL DAYS 2023 7/30, 8/1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2023, SLOVENIA Lake Velenje: LAST DAY OF FESIVIAL CANCELLED

Promoters for METAL DAYS 2023, set to take place 7/30, 8/1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2023 Slovenia, at Lake Velenje has announced, due to torrential rains and flooding, the last day of the festival is cancelled.

METAL DAYS 2023 confirmed CARCASS, VENOM INC, KEOPS, KREATOR, DESTRUCTION, OBITUARY, IN FLAMES, HELLOWEEN, AT THE GATES and MORE METAL BANDS. .

FROM METAL DAYS 2023 PROMOTERS:

Attention all festival visitors without cars and whose tents are flooded: We have organized shuttles to Rdeca Dvorana for your accommodation. The shuttle pickup point is located at the Box Office. The Shuttles will start to operate at 13:00.

The accommodation and the shuttles are provided free of charge. Your safety and comfort are our priority.

Please proceed to the pickup point and follow the instructions of our personnel.

Stay safe and updated for further information.

Please be advised, that the highway is closed in both directions near Žalec and there are many flooding and landslides on the way to and from Velenje. So please make sure you are not exposing yourself and your loved ones to any danger, pay attention to your surroundings and stay safe. There is more rain predicted for the upcoming hours, so it is expected the water level of river Paka will rise in next hours. Currently it is also still rising. Please obey the instructions of the authorised personnel. The evacuation shelter at Rdeča Dvorana has all the amenities needed, dry clothes, showers, beds, food...and you will be in great company! If you need the transport, get in touch.

!! Moving in flooded areas, next to watercourses, on landslides and similar exposed outdoor surfaces is life threatening in some circumstances, so SPEND THE NEXT HOURS AT HOME OR STAY IN A SAFE AREA. !!

All emergency units are on the ground, civil protection is activated, we will be on alert and on the ground for as long as necessary.
