Due to the continuously difficult weather with the additional rainfall in the last 24 hours and the resulting condition of the camping grounds, event areas and paths, no motor vehicles can drive the campsite anymore, as safety and supply cannot be ensured."

 WACKEN OPEN AIR 8/2, 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2023 WACKEN, GERMANY have announced motor vehicles will be STOPPED and not allowed at the campsite due to heavy rainfall.

Final stop for motor vehicles to W:O:A 2023

From now on, the arrival to the Wacken Open Air with all kinds of motor vehicles must be stopped finally.

Due to the continuously difficult weather with the additional rainfall in the last 24 hours and the resulting condition of the camping grounds, event areas and paths, no motor vehicles can drive the campsite anymore, as safety and supply cannot be ensured.

That's why all metalheads in all kinds of motor vehicles are stopped to stop their trip to Wacken or not compete at all. This is valid until the end of the festival.

We will only try to accommodate vehicles that are already in the immediate vicinity of the festival grounds.

We are currently clarifying further information on how to handle your tickets and will make them known as soon as possible.

We're very sad to have to make this difficult decision — for the first time in W:O:A history.
