Swedish grind legends NASUM are set to release the bands live offering "LIVE AT CBGB'S 1999", due to be unleashed NOW via DEATH BY DIGITAL.
NASUM split up after the death of vocalist/guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk in the 2004 Tsunami while on vacation in Thailand.
FROM NASUM:
Boom! Without any warning a brand new (well…) Nasum album is released and available for purchase today! This summer it’s the 25th anniversary of the first proper Nasum tour - which took place during two weeks in the US. The peak of the tour was a show at the legendary New York venue CBGB’s and that’s the show that is released on the “Live at CBGB’s 1999” LP via Death By Digital.
This was released a few years ago on Bandcamp along with all the other odd and rare stuff that have been found in the vaults. It was never intended for a physical release but when Doug Brown reached out and asked if there was anything that he could release this recording came to mind. It’s a bit rough in the edges as the source is a DAT recording straight from the mixing desk. Not much to work on sound wise but it’s good enough for a historical release. A little tidbit for the die-hard fans and a way for us to support an underground grindcore hero as Doug.
The LP is issued in a standard edition of 400 copies in black vinyl and limited edition of 100 copies in grape vinyl. The sleeve includes a two-sided insert with lengthy liner notes written by Jesper and a shorter “technical comment” by myself.
The LP is available from https://deathbydigital.bigcartel.com/ and nasum.com/shop right now. International buyers are advised to buy it from Death By Digital while Swedish and European buyers can use the Nasum shop.
