Swedish death metal warriors DEMONICAL have announced the bands drummer RONNIE BERGERSTAL sustained an eye injury while performing at a festival last summer.

EVERY SHOW COULD BE THE LAST ONE

During our show at Næstved Metalfest in late August, Ronnie accidentally hit himself in the eye with a drumstick.

No one really saw this as any big deal - just one of those minor things that might happen when the flow is wild - but the situation rapidly got worse during the following days.

Despite Sweden being known for its good free healthcare, exceptions do sometimes occur, and now it did.

Due to lack of a proper diagnosis at the local medical center and their initial realization how serious of an injury we were talking about, everything then unfortunately resulted in a critical surgery with extensive treatment to follow.

Things are now ok, and everything is pointing in the right direction, but of course nothing is certain until the eye has completely healed. This will take several months.

Please join in and send Ronnie some positive thoughts (no freaking prayers!) and wish him a speedy recovery.

As it seems now, the scheduled show in Stockholm - alongside NECROPHOBIC - on October 26th will happen as planned, currently no worries there.
