Swedish black metal warriors OFERMOD have posted the below statement on the bands bad relationship with ODIUM RECORDS.

To anyone interested in the esoteric understand that it takes time and honest conviction. You simply can’t pick up a book on occultism and plagiarize the authors works like he does in order to make himself seem “authentic”, it’s a SEVERE sign of disrespect.

Don’t support this low life parasites label or outputs if you deem Black Metal of any importance to you. Be honest with your inclination and the path will open up to you. Like with everything in life, honesty and integrity is everything and Ofermods legacy will NOT be watered down to some spiritless clowns agenda for “fame.”

Ok, enough is enough. I just read a statement on the official page of Ofermod and although I hate to discuss things like that in public but eye to eye with the person involved, I have to react to defend my name. I posted my long comment under the post but a new vocalist Naldo deleted it straight away.

First of all this page is not run by Mika Hakola but by his new vocalist, Indian guy Naldo from Usa who just took over control of the page after I ran it and Mika doesn’t have access to it. He also started a new Instagram profile without consultation with Mika although there was an official Instagram page before.

Secondly, he writes his posts without any consultation with him about what Mika complained to me and I promised him that I do bad things to him for all of his lies that’s why he is trying to ruin my reputation now and is trying to manipulate Mika.

Naldo wrote in one of his comments that split of Ofermod / Acherontas / Black Altar is a bootleg, that I am a pirate and people shouldn’t buy anything from me. How the hell is possible that it’s a bootleg when Mika composed the songs for this split, I paid a lot of money for expensive Endarker studio and royalties for Mika and even recorded backing vocals in Ofermod songs you stupid moron?

Even Mika under your post wrote that it’s not a bootleg and it’s released as one of the best looking, beautiful double vinyls, with graver on side D, booklet, poster, special foil etc what cost me 10k euro.

You Naldo joined the band over 1 year later and don’t have any idea what you are writing about. In such short period of time you made so many mistakes and gained new enemies for you and Ofermod that I hope that Mika will kick you out before you ruin reputation of the band because of your stupidity.

Mika wanted to play gigs so I gathered the whole line up for him, we had been learning and practising songs over a year, he didn't have any merch so I printed it for my last money for him so he would earn money. I have plenty of t-shirts now and nobody wants to buy them because after the first gig Mika didn’t want to continue.

I booked all the shows for Ofermod and later had to cancel them and face the wrath of the promoters. I booked South American Tour for Ofermod where promoters paid about 15000$ just for the flight tickets and 5 days before the first gig Mika said that he will not go anywhere because has a flue and can’t go out from the bed and 2 days later he posted video when he smoking crack in the toilet and all promoters wanted to kill him. We didn't receive even 1 euro for Black Altar gig at Steelfest because promoter was such pissed off at him for cancelling another show.

Everybody around said, including his close friends and ex musicians of Ofermod that I lost my mind if I put such a lot of effort, time and money into Ofermod because he is heavy drugs user and nobody could rely on him. Unfortunately I didn't listen to them and was defending him and saying that this time he is more serious and will be better. I spent so much of my last money on his flight tickets which he cancelled because he forgot when is the flight.

Finally when he visited me I treated him like the most precious guest, buying him everything he wanted, cigarettes, beers, food, wanted to buy expensive leather clothes, paid for a barber, boots etc. because he wanted to enter the stage in blue safety shoes with yellow ball on them and look like a clown.

He was lying to his friends that he stopped playing gigs not because his voice was like 6 years old girl because of some health problems and he couldn't remember even 1 lyric and read them from 10 pages but because we weren't occult enough. The rest of the musicians wanted to kill him when they heard that all of this effort was just to play 1 concert. We posted one song from the gig but had to put dozens of effects on his vocals to make it sound acceptable.

This list is much longer but I think that's enough to make a bigger picture and once again I feel very uncomfortable to write it in public but I didn't have any choice since Naldo was deleting my comments straight away and finally blocked me.

Besides that I still wish Mika all the best, respect his devotion to occultism and always tried to defend him when people said around bad things about him. I just feel sorry for him that he is so weak and easy to manipulate by the leeches like Naldo.
