Finnish melodic doom metal warriors AEONIAN SORROW have parted ways with drummer ACHILLES PAPAGRIGORIOU.

Aeonian Sorrow would like to announce that we have decided to part ways with our drummer, Achilles Papagrigoriou . This decision was not made lightly but came as a result of continued lack of communication from his side in providing clear and timely answers regarding his availability for 2026 and the upcoming shows scheduled by the booking agency and the band.

All tour dates and schedules are always shared months in advance to allow every member to plan their personal and professional obligations. Unfortunately, despite all attempts, we never received any response or confirmation by him, which made it impossible for us to proceed with the necessary planning and coordination.

Aeonian Sorrow will perform all scheduled shows with session drummers until the position is permanently filled by a drummer based in Finland. Meanwhile, we are also continuing the songwriting process for our next album so good days are ahead.

We wish Achilles good luck with his other musical projects and we thank everyone for your continued support.
