Former ORIGIN vocalist JAMES LEE has confirmed he'll be stepping in on vocals for Kansas death metal warriors UNMERCIFUL'S gig at MARYLAND DEATH FEST 2026.

For the first time in over a decade, I'm going to do vocals on a tour again. It seems very fitting that it'll be with this particularly brutal crew in UNMERCIFUL!

Statement from UNMERCIFUL: "Our first ever performance at Maryland Death Fest is just 3 months from today. With that, we want to announce a very special guest that will be performing on vocals. This man is none other than the almighty James “Freight Train” Lee!!! You know and love him from his monumental work on Origin’s “III”, “Echoes of Decimation” and “Antithesis” albums! Having him perform our material will be legendary!

Also, Trynt is still dealing with some health issues, so Andy Vincent will be handling the relentless drum duties. We are in the process of booking some shows around this time (May 20th-May 28th). More information on show dates and venues coming soon.
