After the successful release of the debut CD „Lost Lifeless Lights”, Frailty has finished the deals with the past by releasing a new EP.

In order not to bury the songs from the early days in the cemetery of history and oblivion the band captured them in studio in the autumn last year.
With the help and knowledge of master Gints Lundbergs the songs sound very much like the passed time - as if from a grave, without losing the heaviness or the mournfulness. Dismal roots - words that describe the early musical period of the band, death/doom metal which is to be heard in the content of this EP.

Just there at the "Randoms" store on Tuesday June 9, 7.00PM the band will be glad to sign CD's, answer questions and toast a glass or two.
Right now the band is working on the new material which includes some different variations apart from the usual doom sound. The band has made progress in the sense of sound and concept by experimenting and widening the borders of the genre, adding non-traditional elements and instruments.
The band will be back live on stage for more in the sad autumn after the heat of the summer will be gone and the end of the world will seem a step closer but in the meanwhile Frailty is playing in two festivals - "Metalshow 09-Anticrisis" in Riga and "Devilstone Open Air" in Lithuania.

- First, let's remind of the "Chronicles of Doom" DVD, out @ weird truth records since july first. This DVD is the footage of the dutch doom day set in 2006, with ao Ataraxie, Reverend Bizarre, Saturnus, The Gates of Slumber, and french colleagues as Funeralium & Inborn Suffering.
- After a long wait, our split CD with Imindain "Bethlehems Bastardes" has been sent at the pressing plants and is soon out ! The concept of this CD is to have each band cover a song of Bethlehem and compose up to two songs mixing their own universe with Bethlehem's one. Out during September @ Weird truth !
- This summer, we started working on a our 10th birthday and are currently on the process of recording a special double CD for the occasion, labelled as "project X". no more details will be revealed at this very moment ;)

Live:
- We are playing next week at "Festival des arts bourrains", set on august 28 & 29th in "la neuville chant d'oisel", and sharing the stage with ao Trepalium, Celeste, as We Bleed, Fatum Elisum...
- On september 11th, we'll play the "Madrid is the dark" festival first day, with ao bands such as November's doom, Saturnus, Isole, Officium Triste, Autumnal, Draconian...
- on novmebr 7th, we'll play in Caen (France) with our friends from Fatum Elisum
- and during this autumn, we'll cross the mediteranean sea and play our first gig ever in Tunis !

Side Projects:
- Sylvain & Pierre founded a new side project called Drastik, which is old school thrash metal, with other members of Hyadningar, Warkult & ex-Invoker.
- Fred founded a band called Voodoo Planet, in the stoner / seventies rock vein, with other members of Wormfood.

and to finish with these news, we're proud to announce that after Laboga, we've been endorsed by G-Lab & Tonerider effects. Fred has also recently been endorsed by Kraken guitars, which are high end handmade guitars in korea. He is currently awaiting his first guitar made there !

We have just recently decided to welcome a fantastic drummer from Maine, and a wonderful "down to earth" type of person, Aaron Chafe to the Shroud crew. He has accepted the call of chaos from us and will be our NEW long term, (forever, haha, you are trapped now Aaron! J/K), drummer.

Feel free to welcome him to our crew if you wish, give him some encouragement. He's been doing great so far with learning the songs and coming to practice. He's the most reliable drummer I've met in a long time. We welcome him with open arms and hearts. We look forward to rocking out with Aaron on stage soon!!!



Secondly, we welcome Ari Goldberger, our NEW guitarist to Shroud. He's a very talented guitarist; he's been picking up on all of our songs so quickly it's been pretty amazing to watch.

Ari graduated from Berklee School of Music in 2007 and has been rocking out with bands like Summoning Hate, Requia, and Recently Vacated Graves (TRUE ZOMBIE METAL!)

The trek will launch on September 30 at The Knitting Factory in Los Angeles and will run through mid October. Immediately following the tour, SAVIOURS will support legendary doom metal band Saint Vitus on three exclusive east coast U.S. reunion shows. 'Failure' was originally written by Swans and has been a favorite within the MDB camp for many years.

FU MANCHU will tour the U.S. this fall in support of "Signs of Infinite Power".

Originally formed in 1985 as a BLACK FLAG-influenced hardcore punk band called VIRULENCE, FU MANCHU has since become one of hard rock's most celebrated names. The band released its first single "Kept Between Trees" in 1990 and in the years following, helped give rise to a celebrated style of heavy music tagged "stoner rock" alongside peers such as KYUSS, MONSTER MAGNET and SLEEP. Since its inception, the quartet has built itself a fanatical army of loyal enthusiasts all drawn to the group's ridiculously catchy, unpretentious music, guitar-driven sound and carefree lyrics centered on "old muscle cars, choppers, vans, skateboarding and science fiction."

FU MANCHU's most recent album, "We Must Obey", was released in February 2007 via Century Media/Liquor and Poker. The CD was recorded at Hollywood's Grandmaster Recorders studio (TOOL, NINE INCH NAILS, BLACK CROWES). Finishing touches were added by Gene Grimaldi at Oasis Mastering (VELVET REVOLVER, PENNYWISE, REV. HORTON HEAT).

*(NEW DATE FOR ATHENS & THESSALONIKI CANCELLED FROM BLABBERMOUTH.NET: Due to the national election in Greece (set for Sunday, October 4) and the pre-election speeches of the participant political parties, CANDLEMASS' October 2 concert in Thessaloniki has been cancelled. Meanwhile, the band's show in Athens, which was supposed to take place on October 4 at Gagarin205 has been moved forward a day. All previously purchased tickets will be honored.

CANDLEMASS' shows in Greece could not be rescheduled because the band will not be doing any more touring until April 2010.

As previously reported, CANDLEMASS' show in Athens will be recorded for an upcoming DVD. The band's performance will reportedly be two hours long, although this has not been officially confirmed by anyone in the CANDLEMASS camp.)
