ANTHRAX: SCOTT IAN, CHARLIE BENANTE TO SIT OUT 1/25/2012 SHOW, GENE HOGLAN (DRUMS) , TESTAMENT AND DEATH ANGEL GUITARISTS TO FILL IN
New York thrash legends ANTHRAX have reported that both guitarist SCOTT IAN and drummer CHARLIE BENANTE will sit out the 1/25/2012 show as IAN is sick and hospitalized with a viral infection and Charlie Benante is on a band leave of absence, at home because his mother is terminally ill. ANTHRAX are currently on a U.S. tour with TESTAMENT and DEATH ANGEL.
ANTHRAX guitarist SCOTT IAN missed Thursday's show in Kansas City and will miss tonight's (1/27/2012) Indianapolis show. SCOTT IAN is expected to rejoin the band (ANTHRAX) in Fort Wayne on Saturday.
Legendary thrash/extreme metal drummer GENE HOGLAN will fill in for CHARLIE BENANTE and tour mates DEATH ANGEL, TESTAMENT guitarists will fill in (rotating) for SCOTT IAN.
FROM ANTHRAX: SCOTT LIVES - just texted me "Viral thing. Literally knocked me out. Feeling better now, thanks!" Everyone send positive energy and Gatorade Scott's way!
Sorry guys, sometimes life has to take precedence over metal.
FROM ANTHRAX ( Rob Caggiano):
"We didn't want to cancel any of the concerts, we didn't want to let anyone down," , "so we decided to figure out a way to keep the show on the road. We're so grateful to the guys in TESTAMENT and DEATH ANGEL for stepping up."
Thanks-Stay Metal, Stay Brutal-\m/ -l- FEEL BETTER SCOTT IAN
