MOURNFUL CONGREGATION: TO RELEASE "BOOK OF KINGS" ON VINYL and "BOX OF KINGS"

Australian funeral doomsters MOURNFUL CONGREGATION have announced the release of the bands latest opus "THE BOOK OF KINGS" in box set/ vinyl format via OSTRA RECORDS. The MOURNFUL CONGREGATION box set will be entitled "Box Of Kings" due to be unleashed in APRIL/MAY 2012 (release date TBA).

Hello,

A lot of people have been waiting a long time for news regarding the upcoming vinyl edition of MOURNFUL CONGREGATION's latest album. I sincerely apologise for the delays and the discrepancies between the planned release date and the actual one.

The reasons for these delays are as follows:

- We (the band and myself) have worked a lot on the gatefold cover and ideas of an alternative artwork. However, these ideas were rejected each time because none could rival the first artwork. Finally, we have reached the decision today to keep the original artwork for the vinyl edition.

- Another reason is that I wanted the best for this release, which is, in my opinion, one of the best Doom Metal albums to ever see the gloom of Night. These wishes have pushed us to go through the best possible people to work on each element of this special edition:
- the lacquers' cutting in France;
- the matrixes in The Netherlands;
- the wooden box in Germany;
- the gatefold in Bulgaria;
- the vinyls & the booklet in Czech Republic.

With each element being made in a different place, it took a tremendous amount of time to get everything ready.
