Long Island, New York progressive metal legends DREAM THEATER have announced a SPRING 2014 NORTH AMERICAN headlining tour and a GRAMMY NOMINATION for "The Enemy Inside", up for BEST METAL PERFORMANCE. DREAM THEATER have also announced THREE new (WINTER) 2014 EUROPEAN tour dates including RUSSIA. DREAM THEATER unleashed the bands anticipated self titled 9/24/2013 via ROADRUNNER RECORDS. Roadrunner Records group Dream Theater has announced new tour dates for a North American headline trek billed as the “Along For The Ride” tour. The coast-to-coast run will pick up on March 20th in Toronto, ON following the band’s European tour and then continues through the end of April where it will eventually wrap up in Guadalajara, MX (see attached itinerary). Presale tickets will be available starting at 10:00AM ET on Wednesday, December 18th with general onsale for select dates starting at 10:00AM ET on Friday, December 20th. What’s more, Dream Theater recently earned a second Grammy nomination, this time for “Best Metal Performance” for the single “The Enemy Inside” from their current self-titled worldwide smash album. “DREAM THEATER” made a spectacular debut this past fall, topping Billboard’s “Hard Rock Albums” chart while simultaneously entering at #7 on the overall Billboard 200. The extraordinary chart position marked the group’s third consecutive top 10 debut, and also saw "DREAM THEATER" making top 5 chart debuts in Japan, Germany, Italy, Canada, Argentina, Switzerland, Holland, and Finland, as well as top 10 debuts in Denmark, Austria, and Norway, with career high debuts in the United Kingdom and Australia.
