SLIPKNOT: JOEY JORDISON (DRUMMER) LEAVES BAND

If you haven't heard yet, IOWA, USA based hard rockers SLIPKNOT have announced drummer JOEY JORDISON has left the band.

JOEY JORDISON activated a new project SCAR THE MARTYR as the band unleashed their self titled debut 10/1/2013 via ROADRUNNER RECORDS.

SLIPKNOT unleashed "All Hope is Gone" 8/20/2008 via ROADRUNNER/NUCLEAR BLAST, and has since been on a semi hiatus after the death of bassist PAUL GRAY (drug overdose), returning back to touring in 2011. SLIPKNOT are currently in the recording studio working on the bands new release.

ITP V.013 EDITORS NOTE:
So, I heard there are heart broken teenyboppers  crying over JOEY JORDISON leaving SLIPKNOT, grow some pubes already.  JORDISON also filled in for KORN's drum vacancy for a while on the road. I'm not a fan of the band, nor NU METAL, I prefer extreme metal making that distinction .. However, JORDISON is a substantial loss for "the Knot" as he is the best musician the band has to offer. SLIPKNOT are a carbon copy of MUSHROOM HEAD, as the later turned down ROADRUNNER as said label went with SLIPKNOT instead. However, SLIPKNOT do perform a good, physical, visceral live show. JOEY JORDISON is now in SCAR THE MARTYR.

FROM SLIPKNOT:
It is with great pain but quiet respect, that for personal reasons Joey Jordison and Slipknot are parting ways. We all wish Joey the best in whatever his future holds. We understand that many of you will want to know how and why this has come to be, and we will do our best to respond to these questions in the near future. It is our love for all of you, as well as for the music we create, that spurs us to continue on and move forward with our plans for releasing new material in the next year. We hope that all of you will come to understand this, and we appreciate your continued support while we plan the next phase of the future of Slipknot.
Thank you,
The ‘Knot
