ITP V.013 SOCIAL JUSTICE: MARRIAGE EQUALITY ADVANCES IN UTAH and NEW MEXICO

Utah state legislators have deemed the states ban in Marriage Equality unconstitutional as yesterday New Mexico extends marriage equality statewide.
Congrats to NEW MEXICO, and MARRIAGE EQUALITY for all.
Hawaii and New Jersey have legalized Marriage equality a few months ago.

The state of Utah filed a notice of appeal late Friday and is working on a request for an emergency stay that would stop marriage licenses from being issued to same-sex couples. The judge told the AG's office that it would be a couple of days before he would review any request for an emergency stay... so meanwhile, same-sex couples are lined up in Salt Lake City and marrying at this hour.
