LEEDS BECKETT UNIVERSITY UK have unleashed a new study highlighting "racism and sexism" in extreme metal, pagan and folk metal sub genres.
ITP V.015 EDITORS NOTE: Extreme metal, specifically Pagan and folk metal genres highlight a cultural heritage often over looked in history books, as that musical and cultural expression does not make someone any more or less "masculine" or "superior". Anyone can express cultural heritage in music and extreme metal and should be welcome to do so.
As for sexism, there is for more of that scum in society as a whole, specifically in the hardcore, mall core, pretentious hipsters and other genres.

I came across this today. As an American musician, I haven't run into
this (other than Hipsters and Metal guys getting into it one time). Is
this something that you've seen in the scene? -Tim
