FROM PATRICA THOMAS MANAGEMENT:
There are many amongst by friends who have been to this venue, as there must be some who have also played there. My thoughts go out to all my French friends: "The deadliest attack appears to have targeted the Bataclan concert hall, with unconfirmed reports saying that concert-goers were being shot one by one. Police sources told AFP news agency that more than 100 people had died there"
I spent the morning wondering whether I should be promoting the BlekkMetal event in Bergen today and Shining's show in Essen because it seemed disrespectful to those who died in Paris. But you know what, the scum that perpetrated those atrocities believe that music is evil and that we should not be allowed the freedom to believe, say, read and listen to what we want. I know that many of the bands playing the world-over today will have those fans in their thoughts, and they will be playing for them. So go out tonight. Listen to the music. Play the music. Don't let anyone take this very basic freedom and joy away from you.

First of all, what can we say? Our hearts go out to all who have suffered in Paris tonight, we are so sorry, it is so utterly horrific. Thank you to everyone who has asked about us all, everyone in the Motörcamp is safe although as you have probably heard, Paris and, indeed, France, is understandably on lockdown until local authorities can gauge the full extent of what has occurred. When we have further news, we will let you know. We just hope everyone can heal.

FROM GEORGE TAKEI:
I'm writing this backstage at Allegiance, my heart heavy with the news from Paris, aching for the victims and their families and friends.
There no doubt will be those who look upon immigrants and refugees as the enemy as a result of these attacks, because they look like those who perpetrated these attacks, just as peaceful Japanese Americans were viewed as the enemy after Pearl Harbor. But we must resist the urge to categorize and dehumanize, for it is that very impulse that fueled the insanity and violence perpetrated this evening.
Tonight, hold your loved ones, and pray or wish for peace, not only
from guns and bombs, but from hatred and fear. If it is our freedom and
joy they seek to destroy, give them not that victory. Against the forces
of darkness and terror, love and compassion shall always prevail. #JeSuisParis

1st, my love & condolences to all those affected by the terrorist attacks in Paris. ❤ 2nd, any idiot screaming Allah Akbar (god is great) to celebrate these cowardly acts is committing BLASPHEMY. Your god is NOT great. You have no god. It's a LIE. 🖕🏻💀🖕🏻 3rd, let's remember there's a difference between Jihadists & Muslims. With ANY religion there's always a group of extremist shit-brained MORONS dedicated to a perversion of the faith. 4th, yes I'm a Liberal thru & thru but enough is enough. Those that harm the innocent to escalate EVIL need to be incinerated off the face of the earth. 🔥 Some of you might see this as a contradiction to my beliefs but I've NEVER been tolerant of cowards or bullies & never will. 👿 And finally...❤ I again offer my love & sorrow & unconditional support to the people of #Paris. FROM LORD VICAR:
The Paris/Zweibrücken/Tilburg/Lille minitour is done. Feelings of melancholy and sorrow for the attacks are mixed with the uplifting bond of brotherhood we experienced on the road. Sami 'Rough Boy' Hynninen is now part of the family, handling the bass duties on this tour, and at least for those gigs we have agreed for December and next year. Barabbas were great touring partners, heavy as fuck! Further thanks go to venues and local bands (Araraxie, Bottle Doom Lazy Band, Rage of Samedi, and Doomforge) for their contributions, people who gave us shelter, and those of you who were there.

FROM RHAPSODY:
Yesterday, November 13th 2015, we had a new demonstration of how real evil and the absolute ignorance related with the spiritual subjects can impact our lives in our society. Especially when the people confuse a pseudo-spirituality contaminated by ego with true spirituality, the one connecting us all in the name of the miracle of life and which attributes can be nothing else than Love and Compassion.
Today, we mourn and pray for our beloved French friends, sisters and brothers who lost their lives in an announced tragedy. I am often working in France and I am in contact with French people on a daily basis. Therefore I feel particularly close to all those families, heavily wasted by the tragic events of yesterday and heavily mutilated in their feelings, life plans and sureness. Your pain is my pain, your tears are my tears, your loss is my loss. May the spirits of light carry the souls of your beloved ones to the brightest gleaming dimensions while giving you and us the strength to endure the pain of the open wounds and to challenge fear.
Thanks-Stay Metal, Stay Brutal, Stay SAFE-\m/ -l-

FROM INERTIA ENTERTAINMENT:
You should not have to fear going grocery shopping. Or to a cafe. Normal everyday routines in your life. Attending a major sporting event to cheer on your favourite team, is a moment filled with ecstasy, it should not bring agony, And Music. Attending a concert, can be a momentary release from the everyday pressures of the world. A chance to forget whatever may plague you, often a good time with friends, seeing your favourite band. Today, an isolated group attempted to put fear into the world by attacking the four in one swift orchestrated movement.
This is the second incident in the past two weeks where a live music event has ended in tragedy. And this hits closer to home for me
The horrific nightclub fire in Romania. The entire band minus the singer have died, along with countless others. The current death toll is over 50 which continues to climb on a daily basis. After the Station Nightclub Incident in 2003 where 100 perished, you would have thought a lesson would have been learned worldwide over the use of pyro in small venues. I guess not. Both that incident and the current Romanian tragedy have brought back the memory of the fellow who set off the pyro that burned down the station telling me in 2001 ‘No Fire, No Show’ As A younger promoter, I succumbed to his pressure and allowed the fire to happen. And to this day, I thank my lucky stars nothing happened.
In Rhode Island, people were trapped due to the owner chaining emergency exits closed. Not as many would have died had those measures not been in place. The following day, at the venue I was booking for I went in and the owner he needed to take the chains off his emergency exits. It was common practice back in that day. To prevent people from sneaking in through the back doors, instead of hiring security to guard them. Now you will not find that anywhere in Toronto, and hopefully North America.
These two instances could have been prevented.
Although becoming more common in our day to day lives, senseless Violence, it is still a shock to hear when this happens. Mass Shootings in Movie Theatres, On Military Bases, In Churches and Schools all common occurrences it seems in this day and age. This though is more unprecedented it seems. This is the worst mass murder at a live music event in history, and really only one of four I can cite. (Columbus Ohio, 2004 - Four dead. Fort Worth Texas, 1999 - Seven Dead and Winfield Kansas, 1903 - Six Dead)
To quote the Beastie Boys, 'Life Aint Nothing But A Good Groove, A Good Mix Tape To Put You in The Right Mood’.
A room full of people went out for a good time. To enjoy a band, some to forget the days worries. some to gather with friends. Sing along to their favourite songs. Escape reality to get caught in their good groove. Never would they have expected that seeing a concert would be the last thing they would do.
Music is celebrated in all cultures, why did this become a target of attack?
Daily, Weekly I get to see the smiles of hundreds and sometimes thousands of music lovers. And the Artists who perform the music for you. The happiness is one of my driving forces in what i do. It is saddening to know the smiles of these fans of music will never be seen again. What this inevitable? Could it have been prevented. Maybe that story will come out in the days following this tragedy. I’m sure, much like the Alarosa/Columbus Tragedy, and the overshadowed/overlooked Cincinnati incident the month prior, where there were no deaths, it will be insisted that security measures are stepped up again, in order to prevent this from happening. Perhaps wands/metal detectors will be implemented much like in sporting arena’s? Not sure what at the moment as this is so fresh, except the safety and enjoyment of my patrons is and will always be a priority. Thankfully we have had no situations like these here in Toronto. And hopefully we will continue not to.
Tonight, my thoughts go out to all affected by this tragedy in Paris, but as well to all those in the past two weeks who lost their lives due to their love of music. Rest in Peace.

FROM CRADLE OF FILTH:
CRADLE OF FILTH would like to dedicate their concert tonight in Berlin at the Columbia Theatre to the victims of the Paris Bataclan shooting in which eighty people are known to have died after suspected terrorists opened fire at an Eagle Of Death metal concert last night.
CRADLE OF FILTH have played their last three Parisian shows preceding this current tour at this theatre, and both band and crew are beyond shocked to say the least.
Our thoughts are with the families of all those who were injured or killed, especially those who we have worked with in the past.
FROM SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE :
We stand with you, Paris.
FROM MACHINE HEAD:
FRANCE, WE STAND WITH YOU!
"Fluctuat Nec Mergitur" - we're hit by the waves but we don't sink!
#bataclan
FROM SKINNY PUPPY:
In lieu of all that has happened in Paris and the fact that Floyd knew Nick Alexander, Eagle of Death Metals' merchandise manger, who was murdered in cold blood, we are donating the proceeds of the 'DoWn the SocioPath Suit' to help with any expenses. Nick was doing what he loved, supporting live music, his band, and doing some of the real difficult touring work. thank you and we stand in alliance with our brethren out on the road. Peace.
Love Under Will.
FROM IMMOLATION:
Our thoughts go out to all our friends and family in Paris and throughout France. Our condolences to all the families of the victims. A true tragedy at Le Bataclan, A great city and country that we hold close to us. Strength for your recovery.
Vive la France!!!
FROM NAMM:
"The music industry is reeling from the Paris terror assault, which killed dozens of concertgoers as well as three music industry insiders. U2's Bono calls it a 'direct hit on music.'"
FROM BLASTFEST (NORWAY):
Our thoughts are with our friends in Paris, France, Fall of Summer, Eagles of Death Metal and everyone affected by last nights tragedy. We hope you are safe!
FROM AHAB:
homo homini lupus.
Condolences to our french friends.
Tons of Love and Respect to all of You.
