EMPEROR: SET RELEASE DATE FOR "EMPEROR:COMPLETE WORKS" (24 LP, ONE 7 INCH BOX SET)

Norwegian black metal legends EMPEROR and BLOOD MUSIC, have set a release date for the bands anticipated vinyl release of   "EMPEROR: COMPLETE WORKS" (24 LP, ONE 7 INCH BOX SET), due to be unleashed 12/9/2015 via BLOOD MUSIC.

EMPEROR unleashed "Prometheus-The Discipline of Fire and Demise" 10/22/2001 via CANDLELIGHT RECORDS.
Last year marked the 20th anniversary of EMPEROR's classic release "In The NightSide Eclipse" 2/21/1994 via CANDLELIGHT RECORDS and in 1995 via CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS.

FROM BLOOD MUSIC:
DECEMBER 9th, 2015.
I thought it would be important to note that the public pre-order date for the Emperor official "The Complete Works" Box Set is slated to begin on DECEMBER 9th, 2015.
I will never be attempting another box set anywhere near this size again - it took everything I had and more.
I have received at least 50 e-mails from people trying to pre-buy it, but I have not agreed to pre-sell it to anyone. So, don't ask. smile emoticon
All other questions (almost all) will be answered along the way. I spent several years thinking about this set, and the band spent several years creating this material, and I would like people to understand what's inside it. It has been kept very simple yet very deluxe so that all materials could be considered to the last detail. I hope the ride will be enjoyable for everyone.

II – Rehearsal 1992 [1992] 45-RPM LP
The 2nd LP in Emperor official “The Complete Works” Box Set marks the first-time official publication of an entire alternate playthrough of “The Wrath of the Tyrant” demo, prepared and furnished by the band themselves.
Simply dubbed “Rehearsal 1992,” this recording (mastered specifically for this set) now marks the earliest official publication with Faust on drums and Samoth on guitar. The original “Wrath of the Tyrant” demo featured Samoth on drums, due to lack of a suitable local black metal drummer at the time.
Even truer to the sound of a young band, honing their skills, many such recordings were recorded by the band in 1992 to send around in the underground tape-trading scene. Few of these tapes still exist outside the hands of the band themselves, and this is the first time the material has ever been chosen, prepared, and authorized for official publication.
The production sound on the rehearsal is raw but immediate, showcasing performance mistakes and all, bringing you right into the heart of the rehearsal room. The “Rehearsal 1992” LP features only the metal tracks from the era, as the intro and outro from the official “Wrath of the Tyrant” publication were recorded separately via keyboard by Samoth.
Track list:
Ancient Queen
My Empire's Doom
Forgotten Centuries
Night of the Graveless Souls
Moon Over Kara-Shehr
Witches Sabbath
Lord of the Storms
Wrath of the Tyrant

Emperor “The Complete Works” will be a 24-LP, one 7”, and one book box set.
This will be the largest extreme metal box set of all-time, nearly twice as large as the one preceding it.
It will also be (as far as I'm aware), the 2nd largest vinyl box set in the history of modern music.
Many people have asked how Emperor official (with only four albums) has enough material to fill this many discs. The answer is that the material has been cut in full at 45-RPM, which provides higher fidelity in playback. This is a format often reserved for audiophile cuts of classic jazz, blues, and orchestral performances.
Months were spent combing through Emperor's back catalog of official and unofficial releases - all the while coordinating with the band - before settling on a final track listing. Ultimately, the box set contains every official Emperor release in its “most official” form, as well as a good handful of unofficial ones which are being made official for the first time ever.
As a testament to one of the greatest bands of all time, no expense was spared in the creation of this set, and it even had to be mastered for vinyl in full twice. As mentioned earlier this year, the original mastering was rejected as not being faithful to the original Emperor sound, and everything had to be remastered again from scratch. I have purchased Emperor discs pressed at different times for comparison and am confident that this is the highest level of quality this material will ever achieve, matching or beating out all their previous pressings.
This will be a very bold experiment in immortalizing the greatest and one of the most influential bands in all of extreme music. Arguably, Emperor has converted more fans (myself included) into becoming worshipers of black metal than any other band in history.
The box set is a presentation in 15 parts, which will start being introduced now ...
