NERGAL, guitarist and front man for Polish blackened-death metal warriors BEHEMOTH has commented on Polish death metal warriors DECAPITATED'S 9/8/2017 arrest in Spokane, Washington as the band has been charged with kidnapping and are being investigated for allegations of sexual assault and rape.

Polish death metal warriors DECAPITATED have posted this statement in context of recent events and allegations as the band stated, "As there is uncertainty regarding a timeline for prospective proceedings and out of respect for fans and promoters, due to the severity of the claims, we have cancelled all planned touring."

According to SPOKESMAN.COM, Michael Lysejko (MLODY) , drummer for Polish death metal warriors DECAPITATED was accused of raping a female fan as the allegations are being investigated. The unnamed woman has accused the band with gang rape in the bathroom of the bands tour bus after the bands 8/31/2017 show at THE PIN in Spokane, Washington.

Friday, 9/8/2017, all four members of Polish death metal warriors DECAPITATED were arrested after the bands show in Santa Ana, California and charged with kidnapping a fan whom had gotten on the bands tour bus in Spokane, Washington 8/31/2017.

Polish death metal warriors DECAPITATED are currently in the Los Angeles County jail awaiting extradition to Spokane, Washington.

STEVE GRAHAM, defense attorney for Polish death metal warriors DECAPITATED stated, "There is another side to this". We have witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit the band on her own free will and left on good terms."

Touring life may get crazy every now and then. I was not on the Decapitated bus. I didn't talk to anyone and I do not know the other people involved. I don't want to speculate but I have learned in both my personal life and in many years of touring that people are complicated. I personally have never forced anyone to have sex with me and there should be a NO TOLERANCE policy used in such cases, no question. But I do know the Decapitated guys, and in my experience, they are bunch of good, decent and hard-working fellas. IF in fact they committed a crime, they will have to deal with the consequences but please keep in mind that only some of the people involved have had their voices heard thus far. So, PLEASE take a breath, count to 10 and THINK before you start stigmatising, accusing and judging them publicly for something they may not have even done! I was arrested, I spent night in a Russian jail where my passport and phone were confiscated. I know the feeling and I can only imagine what horror and trauma my friends and everyone involved are going through now. I profoundly hope this whole case will end up positive for them as soon as possible and they will return home safe. Stay strong and hold on tight!
