FROM JASON BITTNER (OVERKILL):
RIP BIg John Hopkins - you will be missed my friend!!
FROM SLEEP:
John Hopkins. Rest In Peace dear brother.
FROM NASUM:
Terrible news: John Hopkins has suddenly passed away. John was the sound engineer for Nasum during the US and Canadian leg of the Farewell tour back in 2012. Apart from our tour manager John was the only guy that was with us during the entire run of shows. He was a great guy that was loved for his work and obviously for the good human being that he was. It’s very sad indeed. Rest In Peace, John.
FROM ORANGE GOBLIN:
We
are all absolutely devastated to hear of the sudden passing of John
Hopkins. John was our US Tour Manager, our Soundman, our brother and our
friend. He will be dearly missed by everyone that ever knew him or
worked with him. The music industry just lost one of the very, very
best. Our condolences go out to his family and friends worldwide. Sleep
well big man. We love you.

FROM CORROSION OF CONFORMITY:
FROM WEEDIAN:
R.I.P. John Hopkins
FROM UNCLE ACID AND THE DEAD BEATS:
We sadly lost a good friend yesterday in John Hopkins. John was a great soundman and TM who worked with us on most of our U.S. tours. He was well loved and respected by us all and one of the best guys you could ever hope to tour with. A true Road Warrior who always looked after us. We had some great times over the years traveling around the States together with his vast knowledge and experience; visiting horror locations, record shopping, listening to W.A.S.P., talking gear, going to his favourite breakfast places, eating Clif bars on the bus, complaining....it was just a pleasure to have known and worked with him. Here he is with King Diamond on our last night together. We will really miss him. Much love to his family and his many friends. Thanks for everything John. R.I.P.
FROM WEEDEATER:
Yesterday we lost John Hopkins, one of the most amazing individuals ever to have existed. John was a good friend to so many people and is already sorely missed by all of us. He was an extremely talented sound engineer and an excellent TM who only worked with bands that he truly loved. He elevated things on both a personal and professional level and was a kind, generous and brilliant man. Words simply cannot convey what a huge loss this is to the world. RIP John Hopkins. You were and will always be one of the great ones, and we will miss you forever. Farewell to you, brother. We will always remember the welts from your mighty SLAP CHOP and we will always remember you for the great man that you are.
