ICED EARTH: VOCALIST STU BLOCK AND BASSIST LUKE APPLETON LEAVE THE BAND

STU BLOCK, vocalist and LUKE APPLETON bassist of U.S.A. power metal warriors ICED EARTH have both left the band.

JON SCHAFFER, vocalist/guitarist for Tampa, Florida, U.S.A. power metal warriors ICED EARTH was arrested by the FBI 1/17/2021 in Columbus, Indiana, SCHAFFER was named as a person of interest for "Unlawful entry" at the Capitol. SCHAFFER was photographed by media rioting and breaking in to Congress with pro DONALD TRUMP insurgents in Washington, DC, U.S.A, 1/6/2021.

As the U.S. CONGRESS were counting Presidential electorates and certifying U.S. President elect JOE BIDEN, TRUMP supporters and right wing, nationalists rioted and stormed the capital, breaking into the building and disrupting Congress.

According to Indiana PUBLIC MEDIA, JON SCHAFFER, vocalist/guitarist for Tampa, Florida, U.S.A. power metal warriors ICED EARTH will be extradited from Indiana to Washington DC and could be denied bail if he is a safety risk to himself and/or the community.

Five people died in the riots.

Well, there are times and events when you have to take stock and re evaluate your life, work, and trajectory for the future. That being said I have informed Jon and his current management that I must announce my resignation from Iced Earth with immediate effect. Before I made any personal decision I needed the last few weeks to process the situation as well as respect others in our camp processing the situation. I thank you all very much for respecting this. It’s the best decision in many ways for my personal/ professional growth going forward. Time to move on, heal and prosper inherit;">Much love and respect to you all. Don’t fret! Stay tuned for some exciting things to come! Time to embark upon a new chapter. Be good to each other.

FROM LUKE APPLETON (BASS): : In response to recent events & circumstances, I have notified Iced Earth’s management and Jon that I will be resigning as the Iced Earth bassist with immediate effect. I would like to thank everyone who has sent me their support and love during this difficult time.
