The solitary project of the French musician named Asthâghul, ESOCTRILIHUM release their 6th album in 5 years of underground activity, sure to cement the great consensus obtained with 2020's “Eternity Of Shaog”.
“Dy'th Requiem For The Serpent Telepath” picks up right where its predecessor left off, at times addressing the band's stylistic formula towards doom metal territories, and offering a better amalgamation of symphonic sounds within the unique blend of mystic black and death metal ESOCTRILIHUM is known for. The result is as dark, majestic and psychedelic as Dhomth's disturbing cover painting, perfectly reflecting the concept behind this work.

The album winds its way through four sections and 12 tracks, telling the story of the death, transfiguration and rebirth of the Serpent Telepath – one of the many entities that populate ESOCTRILIHUM's mental dimensions of horror (and clearly an astral projection of Asthâghul himself) – in a blistering crescendo of tortured visions and psychic delirium.

Finland based metal warriors BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT (featuring late guitarist ALEXI LAIHO) have posted a video for  the title track  from the bands debut EP release "PAINT THE SKY WITH BLOOD", due to be unleashed 4/23/2021 via NAPALM RECORDS.

On 12/29/2020,  ALEXI LAIHO (Markku Uula Aleksi Laiho) , former guitarist, vocalist for Finland based metal legends CHILDREN OF BODOM and BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT passed away last week at 41. No cause of ALEXI LAIHO's death has been given.

We have been working hard behind the scenes to make Sweden Rock Festival 2021 happen, but we now know that it will not be possible to go through with this year’s festival. We are shifting our focus to starting planning for Sweden Rock 2022 and are looking forward to a truly memorable event when we can finally all be reunited.
If you want to keep your ticket, it will now automatically be valid for Sweden Rock Festival 2022. For those of you who wish to get a refund, that will of course be possible too. All current holders of valid tickets will shortly get a mail from Ticketmaster with more information.
Naturally, we are very grateful to all of you who decide to hold on to your tickets until 2022. We are really looking forward to being able to finally fill our extended and upgraded festival area with great artists, activities and visitors again. The work to move the current 2021 line-up to 2022 has already started, and we promise that the festival will be as great as we had planned for it to be this year. The first confirmed acts will be announced shortly.

 Established in 1999, Switzerland’s Beansidhe delivers its fourth manifestation, “Processionaria”, in 2021. The six-track album is a natural further step along the path the band set off on with 2015’s “Mónt”. The songs, sang in the typical dialect of the region, tell introspective tales about the intertwined natures of Man and Earth. The attentive spectator, and intimate connoisseur of the language, will be able to identify a recurring theme in entities that disappear, more or less willingly, only to leave room for new ones to set foot on the stage of life. “Processionaria” is undoubtedly the most honest and coherent composition to date, while possibly the most straightforward and simplistic in terms of rhythmic and harmonic structures, and patterns: none but the deemed essential remains, to give birth to a rich variety of dynamics and differently-paced moments which, along the whole thirty-five minutes of duration, walk the listener to a very personal journey that the band, as usual, suggests to treat oneself to in a quiet setting and in deep reverie.

Besides several short European tours Morgarten appeared on international festivals, like Occultfest (NL), Brainstorm Festival (NL), Devils Rock For An Angel (BE), Mannried Open Air (CH), Winter Armageddon (DE) and Rise Of Trolls (BE). Also the band was asked as opening-act for Finntroll on their visit to Switzerland in 2018. Morgarten now returns with their new album "Cry of the Lost", which surely won't leave fans of folk- and black metal disappointed! The album was mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Amon Amarth) and mastered by Tony Lindgren (Opeth, Eluveitie, Sepultura). For the drums Morgarten visited Fascination Street Studio's to let David Castillo (Carcass, Opeth, Leprous) handle the recordings. The result is a high quality release that will please fans of bands like Ensiferum, Eluveitie and Wind Rose. Morgarten proves to be the leading folk- and black metal band from the French speaking part of Switzerland and with their new album Morgarten is ready to march upon the European battlefields once more! Fresh from the success of “Wanderers: Astrology of the Nine” – a split album released in 2020 with MARE COGNITUM, their usual cosmic traveling companion – SPECTRAL LORE return with “Ετερόφωτος”, their brand new and highly anticipated full-length, destined to setting the whole progressive/atmospheric black metal scene on fire. Released seven years after the groundbreaking “III” (2014), actually “Ετερόφωτος” carries on from where 2012's “Sentinel” left on both lyrical and musical level, thus marking another separate series of albums than the ones labeled by Roman numerals, with the “Gnosis” EP from 2015 lying somewhere in the middle. “Ετερόφωτος” is a word without an exact translation in English: In approximation it means "the one whose light comes from others".

If SPECTRAL LORE themselves originally described “Sentinel” as epic and transcendental black metal, music to inspire the warrior spirit and through it achieve spiritual transcendence, “Ετερόφωτος” walks similar emotional paths with greater maturity and awareness, and can be seen as a comment on its predecessor's...  more
