SETH are a veteran French black metal band that have scored high in their country's metal/hard rock charts. Here ITP V.021 has SETH'S "LA MORSURE DU CHRIST" the bands first full length release in over 8 years.

SETH'S "LA MORSURE DU CHRIST" kicks off with the title track, an epic, melodic black metal affair with light keyboards, blast beats and excellent vocals. At 1:45 LA MORSURE DU CHRIST" blasts into oblivion with light keyboards an excellent blast beats.

I love the epic piano in the title track. .

SETH'S "METAL NOIR", is a dark and haunting track starting out as mid paced black metal before blasting to bits with an epic performance. SETH'S "METAL NOIR" is well written and atmospheric bringing an epic feel and sure to raise those horns.

SETH'S "SACRIFICE DE SANG", kicks off with tribal drumming and the tracks main melody performed on acoustic guitar. "SACRIFICE DE SANG" continues mid pace with some vicious melodic black metal riffing. Light keyboards adorn "SACRIFICE DE SANG" as the band pull off some epic riffing.

At 3:47 SETH'S "SACRIFICE DE SANG" slows down for an ambient break with lightly tickled keyboards and spoken word before picking up the pace of this melodic and epic beast of a track.

SETH'S "EX CATHEDRALE" features excellent drumming via "ALSVID" as the track in a wondrous ride of epic, melodic black metal. SETH'S "EX CATHEDRALE" also features well written and performed, post black metal riffing and an awesome vocal performance via "SAINT VINCENT" At 5:00 into SETH'S "EX CATHEDRALE" the guitars segue into acoustic playing keeping the melodic, atmospheric flowing with full band closing the track. .

SETH'S "HYMNE AU VAMPIRE (ACTE III)" is a trashier track consolidated with melodic riffing. At 2:08 SETH'S "HYMNE AU VAMPIRE (ACTE III)" slows for a mid paced breakdown. SETH'S "HYMNE AU VAMPIRE (ACTE III)" picks up the momentum complimented by spooky keyboards low in mix and an acoustic interlude to close the track. .

SETH'S "LES OCEANS DU VIDE", is a melodic hell ride featuring an epic atmosphere with by great time changes, melodic riffing, blast beats, and keyboards. At 4:54, SETH'S "LES OCEANS DU VIDE". segues into an acoustic interlude and half crying, half screaming vocals. Within a few seconds, drums and the rest of the band return to SETH'S "LES OCEANS DU VIDE" as the track fades out with an unknown instrument.

. SETH'S "LA MORSURE DU CHRIST" closes with "LE TRIOMPHE DE LUCIFER" as the track enters in beauty and darkness. The instrumental intro to SETH'S "LA MORSURE DU CHRIST" is majestic and beautiful as the track takes off into melodic, black metal eternal darkness..

SETH'S "LA MORSURE DU CHRIST" is epic slab of majestic melodic black metal. Dark, charismatic, gripping, beautiful, atmospheric and well composed, SETH'S "LA MORSURE DU CHRIST" could be the best black metal release of 2021.

SETH'S "LA MORSURE DU CHRIST" features an amazing vocal performance from "SAINT VINCENT" and "ALSVID" on drums. The keyboards compliment the sinister black metal for an atmospheric and epic feel. Also, unlike CRADLE OF FILTH and DIMMU BORGIR the keyboards are not overwhelming, low in the mix and meant to not get in the way of the majestic, melodic riffing.

There's plenty of excellent melodic riffs to feast upon as the songwriting featured on SETH'S "LA MORSURE DU CHRIST" is awesome and the production is good.
