1 Band-Announcement: AHAB

The inventors of Nautik Doom Metal are back! In January 2023 with a new record and already in June with a headliner show at the Teifljågd Metal Open Air 2023 at Piberstein Castle in Austria: Ahab!

In their new album, the band around Christian Hector and Daniel Droste takes fans on a musical journey through the depths of the vast oceans and the abysmal nature of mankind. So look forward to this band causing the castle walls to shake!

 

 

#2 Band Announcement: Eschaton

Formed at the height of the mid-90s black metal phase, Eschaton have evolved over the years into a continuously self-challenging band in the European extreme metal scene. During all the years, the Linzer have consistently worked on their own rhythm and focused on their individual approach to Extreme Metal: essence over image, consistency over musical trends. The result of this access has been revealed in multiple full lengths and EPs over the past two decades. This culminated in the current Split EP LICHTKVLT, an aural supernova, created together with APATHY from Germany.

As an Upper Austrian Metal Festival, we are pleased to be able to confirm Linzer as the first local act on Teifljågd Metal Open Air 2023

 

 

 

3 Band Announcement: Horn

Horn was founded in 2003 as a solo project with the drive to create nature-related black metal that deals with the relationship between man and nature. The old material, which was mainly concerned with nature and contained a rather vibrant, folkloric riffing, has given way over the years to bleak themes and sound worlds. Throughout the nine studio albums, the distinctive "Horn" sound remained, with its typical lead guitars, classic black metal vocals and choirs and a serious folkloristic approach that is far away from the ones celebrated today. n merry drunk viking songs.
