BARCELONA ROCK FEST closes its poster with PANTERA and more additions

After more than two decades without performing in Barcelona, the festival will host this July the only concert of Pantera in our country. The North American lineup is considered one of the most remarkable international metal bands of all time and will perform Saturday, July 6th at Barcelona Rock Fest

Barcelona Rock Fest closes its banner today with the inclusion of one of the most relevant metal bands of all time: Pantera. The festival, which will take place on July 5, 6 and 7 in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona) has just confirmed for Saturday July 6 the performance of the quartet captained by Philip Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown, accompanied by Zakk Wilde on guitar and Charlie Beat the drums. The training will come straight from the USA. UU. to offer a spectacular concert at Barcelona Rock Fest. Undoubtedly, it will be the best tribute to the Abbott brothers, Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul, after having, more than two decades without performing in Barcelona. The date, therefore, means a unique date in Spain to be able to enjoy one of the international metal's flagship after achieving global success in the 90s. Pantera features multiple gold and platinum albums, sold-out tours, fierce live performances, and four Grammy® nominations. Discs such as ‘Cowboys From Hell’, ‘Vulgar Display Of Power’ or ‘Far Beyond Driven’ have become inspirational references for many other metal bands, as well as new generations that year after year continue to idolize them.

But this is not the only surprise that the festival has in store for us, as new confirmations are also announced today such as the presence of Ratos De Porão, considered one of the icons of Brazilian hardcore punk and the performance of authentic references of German power metal, Primal Fear. And, following this musical footprint but from Spain, we will enjoy the anthems of the Asturians WarCry. Another of the proposals to take into account in this edition of the festival is the incorporation of one of the emblematic bands of the Spanish scene as Soziedad Alkoholika and their always critical and overwhelming spirit. The Vitoria will present at the festival their imminent new album 'Confrontation'. From Santa Coloma de Gramenet and as a local group chosen to play this year, they add to the list some classics from the Barcelona punk scene: Motosierras. Barcelona Rock Fest also adds to their list the must-have classics of Spanish metal Angels Del Infierno. They are responsible for 'Pact with the Devil', without doubt one of the best albums to remember of our country's heavy. The frantic thrash metal of Barcelona Terminal Violence, considered one of the must-have bands of this style alongside Angelus Apatrida, Crisix or Legion, is another of the recent confirmations of the poster. The new additions also include original Finnish folk-metal band Korpiklaani.
