FROM SOJOURNER:
We really wish we didn’t have to write this. We have decided to pull out of our upcoming euro tour with Bucovina, Firtan and Countless Skies.
When we accepted the offer we knew that Mike was in NZ due to family matters and would not be able to attend so we needed to hire two session members. He gave us his blessing to go ahead and do the tour. So this has nothing to do with Mike nor is it his fault.
Basically, after speaking to many people, we finally had a lineup and were ready to play for you all once again. However, some days ago we got a message that our session lead guitarist could no longer tour due to reasons pertaining to his career and had to drop out. This close to the tour we just can not find someone else to fill that void to where we’re happy. Keep in mind the financial and logistical aspects to touring.
Sure, we could go onstage with one guitar, 2 singers and a drummer but we do not wish to compromise on our performance as they are special to us and a serious matter. We do not wish for those seeing us again or for the first time to see a performance where half of it is coming out of the PA.
This was not an easy decision to make and it’s devastating for us to do so.
We hope that you will attend the shows anyway and support the amazing bands that will kill it each night onstage!
