 Former CRADLE OF FILTH back up vocalist SARAH JEZEBEL DEVA has commented on sexism in the metal scene regarding  comments since Zoe Marie Federoff has left the band. 

 

 

 

 

SARAH JEZEBEL DEVA did guest vocals for International black metal warriors HELJARMADR, as the band  have posted " A POISON TO THE FIRMAMENT", a track from the bands anticipated self titled EP , due to be unleashed 1/1/2025 (more info T.B.A.).  

 

DANI FILTH, vocalist for UK blackened extreme metal warriors CRADLE OF FILTH has stated guitarist  MAREK 'ASHOK' ŠMERDA after he posted his contract offer with CRADLE OF FILTH. 

 

ASHOK, guitarist for UK blackened extreme metal warriors CRADLE OF FILTH stated, based upon a bad session musician contract, he too is leaving the band 

 

ZOE MARIE FEDEROFF, keyboardist, back up vocalist for  UK blackened extreme metal warriors CRADLE OF FILTH stated she is leaving CRADLE OF FILTH due to "Personal reasons". 

 

GUITARIST MAREK 'ASHOK' ŠMERDA and KEYBOARDIST  ZOË M. FEDEROFF of British gothic, blackened extreme metal warriors CRADLE OF FILTH are officially  married. 

CRADLE OF FILTH have inked a deal with NAPALM RECORDS.

 CRADLE OF FILTH have announced that keyboardist  ANABELLE IRANTI and guitarist RICHARD SHAW have left the band. 

CRADLE OF FILTH unleashed "EXISTENCE IS FUTILE",  10/22/2021 via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS.

I feel the need to write this post, NOT to be part of the latest events, NOT to bring attention to any guilty or non guilty parties, but to make some of you realise that certain actions and events are NOT ok.

Since Zoe Marie Federoff announcement, I noticed that many men found it funny. They found the words "Abuse, mistreatment and bullying" funny. They laughed. Now these are men/boys who have sisters, mums, nieces, wives and girlfriends. They found the mistreatment of a women funny, a joke. For a moment, just imagine what it takes for a woman to speak up, then think how hard it is for a man to speak up. Whilst these people sit back and laugh at someone's pain, they look their mums or daughters in the eyes and say "I love you, I will look after you, I won't let anyone hurt you"... its ok to hear about someone's life falling apart, but they wouldn't dare laugh if it was the females they are close to. So I took it upon myself to ban them.. for a simple laughing emoji, that was highly disrespectful to Zoe, some of your comments and mine. So if you find this post funny, clearly you have no morals. What was even more shocking was men defending women and men laughing at those men! Anyway, they are gone and likely more will come forward and laugh... until you find someone you love in that situation of course.

One guy posted how "Women are equal these days, wtf am I talking about". I would just like to say 8 words. Gender Pay Gap. Female Mutilation. Hijab. Honour killings.

Lastly, to back up Zoe, because we all understand some people will be upset and gutted when people leave. Lindsay Schoolcraft and I, we both threatened for speaking up about our abuse, bullying and mistreatment. We were instructed to keep our mouths shut. Funnily enough, the 2 people are a mum and dad, with children. They wouldn't allow this to happen to their children, but its ok for it to happen to others. There was no "we are sorry you went through this", no compassion, no concern.

I also want to make you aware "There have been too many fat chick's in the band, you are not allowed to put weight on".... but its perfectly fine to have over weight men in the band. What's shocking more so is THIS was approved by both a man and a woman.

Just like Zoe and Lindsay have had my backs, I have theirs. It's not about women are better, its about some of you realising ITS STILL happening, everywhere and we ALL have the right to speak without fear.

Images from my other band were stolen and put on Cradle merch without my permission or consent.

Management also tried to take roughly 25% of our album advances that he has no contract for.

That money belongs to who wrote the album unless otherwise agreed. When I called him out on these and other exploitations (and I wasn’t the only one) he sent this by accident to the group chat instead of Dan.

How long would you work under this treatment while also being stolen from?

Alright guys. This has been a lot. I need to be mom for a while now. I’ve answered as many questions as possible right now, and I’m well aware I probably have just thrown away my career. But looking at 40+ people behind me who were also taken advantage of, including my friends Lindsay and Sarah, and the new kids who may yet be taken advantage of, I decided the truth was worth more than my career.

Make of that what you will. I still hope somehow the band fixes things for the better for the next lineup. But I’m not holding my breath.
