Due to VISA issues, Stockholm, Sweden based death, doom, depressive rock warriors KATATONIA have announced guitarist NICO ELGSTRAND will NOT be performing with the band on their 2026 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR.

We’re very pleased to welcome Henrik Palm, who’ll be covering guitar for the shows in Nicos absence. Henrik is a phenomenal musician and we’re excited to have him bringing his energy and experience to the stage with the band.

Henrik said:

”Im very honored to take the guitar duties with Katatonia on the upcoming North American tour! As some of you might know I’ve done a couple of albums with Daniel Moilanen in the past and present so finally me and him can do a proper tour together. Playing the music of Katatonia is a new and challenging experience for me so fingers crossed I don’t mess up too badly. Hell awaits!

Nico will of course be back and joining us for the Latin American leg of the tour.
