  JENNIFER FINCH, bassist, vocalist for Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. grunge, punk band L7 has died (7/18/2026) after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. 

  JENNIFER FINCH was 59.

The last few days, I've been thinking about how short life is. Ever wonder if it really is worth it being angry at people you don't know? Wasting your time arguing with people you don't know? Slagging off people you don't know, just to make yourself feel better? Is it all worth it..... life goes by in a blink of an eye.

I read a few weeks ago, maybe more, that Jennifer of L7 was ill, of course I never expected to wake up to this. She passed away and it's just been announced. L7 were a massive band influence for me as a teen. They were the first all female band I ever gave a shit about and still on only one, the only one that ever stood out to me, that never gave a shit about what anyone thought. Majorly influenced me... I never met them, never knew them, but just want to pass on my respects to L7 Official .... the friends, the family. So sad about this. Cancer is awful.... death is awful. Losing people you love, even people you dislike.....it's tragic. Thank you for influencing people like me, who thought women couldn't possibly have a place in metal.
