Georgia, USA based sludge/hard rockers MASTODON have unleashed some controversial Holiday merch, perhaps set to be in a line for all time controversial band t-shirts (CRADLE OF FILTH: "Jesus is a Gilded Cunt", MARDUK: "Jesus Christ Sodomized"). MASTODON's new limited edition THANKSGIVING holiday t-shirt, depicts a white male Pilgrim with a gun to the head of a Native American woman, on her knees, holding a plate of food.
Will MASTODON fans "gobble up" the controversial and perhaps racist merch, or will they pan it as UN PC and tasteless?

ITP V.013 EDITORS NOTE: While I'm not a fan of MASTODON and I don't believe in censorship, ITP's author is at least a quarter Cherokee Indian/part Samoan and half African American, yes I find MASTODON's holiday Thanksgiving t-shirt tasteless, we as Native Americans are more than just the victims of Genocide, we cultivated this land.
FROM MASTODON:
Happy Thanksgiving from Mastodon! The limited edition Thanksgiving tee is now available for Ladies & Gents.

LOOK AT THIS B.S.
When we assert that the control of native imagery in mainstream, including the Washington Redskins, hollywood et. al. is extremely important to the way we see ourselves & the way the world sees us & all the anti-social evolution-lets just be happy with what we have type natives tell us that "natives have more important things to worry about", we say maybe just shut the pie hole & let the change agents alter the course of our destiny because we are doing it all, help us.
On February 11, 2012, Mastodon took the stage at London's O2 Academy, Brixton capping off the band's world tour for their fifth studio album, "The Hunter." This sold out performance was the band's first show at Brixton. In addition to performing their latest songs "Curl of the Burl," "Black Tongue," and "Dry Bone Valley" the band dug into their catalog performing "Colony of Birchmen," "Capillarian Crest," and "Iron Tusk." Critics said this 23-song set list captures "an intense display of dark riffs and crushing choruses." Rolling Stone says "'The Hunter' demonstrates how contemporary radio rock can still be made with imagination, precision and a majestic sense of force."
