ULCERATE SEND NEW RELEASE UPDATE

New Zealand death metal heroes ULCERATE have issued this band update.
FROM ULCERATE:
Since the start of this year we've been hard at work writing material for the next album, finally feels like it's time to start talking about it. So far we've got 5 fully complete tracks, with an aim to have the writing completed by July/August, when we'll step into the studio for real. We will be continuing with Willowtip Records / Candlelight for this release yet again, as they've done a superb job with Everything is Fire.

The writing process is once again being handled by guitarist Michael and myself, with vocalist/bassist Paul handling all lyrical and vocal contributions. We have no working titles as yet, but in the coming weeks everything will start falling into place.

The new material is an expansion on the Everything is Fire sound with a far greater dynamic range. There's really no surprises or annoying experimentations, just the next step forward in evolving what we've established so far. There will however be a lot more of the bleak and blackened atmosphere and mood, perhaps a little less pace overall - with an emphasis on a very very large sound. We're certainly not a band that wants to repeat itself, but at the same time, we're extremely driven to create the sonic assault that we've had in our heads for a number of years. Make of that what you will!

Pre-production sessions have been taking place and we've got a number of ideas that we'll be experimenting with in the very near future in terms of instrument tones and production values. The production will once again be handled within the band, and there may or may not be outside contributors. What you can expect yet again is a (hopefully) very natural sound, with little or no reliance on modern production gimmicks / techniques.

Beyond this, we will be looking to tour locally and internationally early 2011 in support of the release.

More updates as they come to pass.
Cheers / Jamie
