Indie Recordings are happy to announce that we have entered an agreement with Djerv for the release of their debut album in Europe excl. Poland, Czech Republic and Russia.

Djerv is a very interesting new band that appeared on the radar early 2010. Spawn out of Trelldom, Animal Alpha and Stonegard they pull strings from their previous bands, but Djerv is still something new. It sounds different. It`s aggressive rock, borderline metal and dangerously catchy. Yet wrapped in a blackmetal veil? Genres melt together as never before these days, and so seems to be the case with Djerv as well.

Their story is short but eventful. The first demos surfaced early 2010, and two weeks later they were booked for the most important festival in Norway, the Oya festival. They went on to tour Norway in June and played several of the bigger Norwegian festivals during the summer. In August they released the “Headstone EP” which basically is their first ever recorded demo tracks made available as people kept demanding to get to hear them not only on Myspace. The release of the “Headstone EP” generated some good press for the band several key magazines featured them as one of the bands to keep an eye out for in 2011. In addition Dimmu Borgir has helped promote Djerv when they invited Agnete to participate on no less than three songs for their latest album, “Abrahadabra”. Amongst them the lead track of the album, “Gateways” where Agnete does a stunning performance both on the track and in the video.

Djerv consist of the three core members Agnete Kjølsrud, Stian Kårstad and Erlend Gjerde. The lineup is completed

by guitarist Stamos Koliousis from Mencea and bassist Victor Brandt from Entombed who join them for their live performances. Djerv is currently on the Norway Rock Tour with Purified in Blood and Insense, and they are also confirmed for the Inferno Festival April 22nd. More tourdates here

Agnete from Djerv comment the signing:

“ Its great to be a part of the Indie Recordings family. As the people at Indie and several of the bands are already our good friends we are very happy to work alongside them on our debut album. I feel great about the signing and I think the future holds great things for us with Indie Recordings on our team.”

Djerv has just finished up the work on their debut album which is set to release this summer. More details on that to be announced shortly.
