Holland’s very own Roadburn Festival has become Europe’s leading underground festival for psychedelic, avant-garde, doom or any other variation of leftfield sonic pleasures that push the boundaries of music.

Originally a spin-off of the Roadburn website, the Roadburn Festival has emerged as an event in its own right. It brings together bands, fans & media from around the world. Despite it’s international acclaim, Roadburn Festival retains an underground vibe and ethics, but with seriously big-league production values.

In addition to the music, Roadburn has earned a reputation as having a unique camaraderie between the festivalgoers, bands, organizers and staff, and ranks as one of the best and most laid-back festivals to be experienced. It is one of the festival’s primary goals to make the Roadburn experience second to none, not only for the fans but for the artists as well.

Roadburn 2011 will run for three days from Thursday, April 14 to Saturday, April 16 at the 013 venue and Midi Theatre in Tilburg, Holland. There will be an additional Afterburner event on Sunday, April 17, 2011.

We’re excited to announce that The Machine will be part of this years Afterburner event, set for Sunday, April 17 at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland.

Due to some changes in the production schedule for this years Afterburner, we had the opportunity to add one more band to the line-up. The Machine is a perfect fit, as the overall vibe of Afterburner leans towards classic psychedelic rock and stonerrock, just like the old school Roadburn Festivals!

The Machine, hailing from Rotterdam, Holland, pair molten stoner rock riffs with a fair dose of retro psych for good measure. The band also excels at incorporating acid-blues jamming that lifts their whole performance into outer space. The band’s latest album, Drie (out on Elektrohasch) captures the band in great form, and together with Sungrazer, they are two of the most promising bands to emerge from the Dutch stonerrock scene in a while.

With the addition of The Machine, the line-up for this years Afterburner event is complete. The line-up is as follows: Black Mountain, Dead Meadow, Coffins, Blood Farmers, Sourvein, Spindrift, Samsara Blues Experiment, Black Pyramid, Dragontears, Sungrazer and The Machine.
ROADBURN 2011 LINEUP: Roadburn Festival 2011 sold out in approximately 15 minutes. However, there are still tickets available for the Roadburn Afterburner, which is set for Sunday, April 17th at the 013 venue in Tilburg, NL.
