SLIPKNOT: MAKE STATEMENT ON PAUL GRAY's DR's INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER ARREST

IOWA nu metal warriors SLIPKNOT have sent this statement on deceased bassist PAUL GRAY's doctor (Daniel Baldi) arrest on 8 counts of involuntary manslaughter for over prescribing patients prescription pharmaceuticals.

Gray died of an accidental overdose of morphine and fentanyl, a medical examiner has ruled.
Gray's body was discovered about 10:50 a.m. May 24 by a maintenance worker at TownePlace Suites in Urbandale, Iowa.
A hypodermic needle lay near the bed, and "all kinds of pills" surrounded Gray, who was hunched over in the corner of the room, according to a 911 call.

Polk County Medical Examiner Dr. Gregory Schmunk said today that it was two injected drugs — fentanyl is a synthetic form of morphine — that killed Gray. The pills did not contribute to his death, Schmunk said.

Gray also suffered from significant heart disease, Schmunk said.
FROM SLIPKNOT:                                                                                                                                                                                                                            “As the loss of our brother Paul Gray is still very fresh for us in the Slipknot family, this new development has us all in a state of anger and sadness. The fact that this person took advantage of our brother’s illness while he was in a position to help others has outraged everyone in our family. We can only hope that justice will be served so this can NEVER happen to anyone else ever again! Our thoughts go out to the families of the other victims. We plan to cooperate as much as we possibly can to ensure this tragedy is never repeated, and to make sure this man pays for what he has done.”
