DOWNFALL OF GAIA unleashed "Suffocation In The Swarm Of Cranes" 10/9/2012 via METAL BLADE RECORDS.
BLACK TABLE unleashed "Sentinel" 12/17/2012 independently.
FROM DOWNFALL OF GAIA:
We are very happy to announce that our good friend Michael Kadnar from New York will be the new face behind the drums of Downfall of Gaia and all of us couldn't be more excited to have him on board!
We got to know Mike on our last tour through the United States with his other band Black Table and the chemistry just felt right! Around that time we had no idea that we will meet up again so soon! It might sound weird to some people to add a drummer from New York to a band that's based in Germany, but for us it feels like the right and best decision!
Plans for 2014 have been made and the flights have been booked! Some amazing stuff is coming up in the next couple of months and we are looking forward to a new chapter!
The songwriting for a new record will start in a few weeks and a new record can be expected for later this year!
FROM BLACK TABLE:
We wanted to announce that Mike has teamed up with our German friends Downfall of Gaia. Black Table remains Mers, Ryan and Mike so don't fret. This is simply a great opportunity for him and it's a big undertaking, so show him your support. And as always, buy our brother a mug of beer if you see him rolling through your country.
From Mike…
"I am extremely excited to announce that I have officially joined Downfall of Gaia. I want to sincerely thank every single person that has supported me and my music this entire time, it really means the world to me!!
It's been a long, arduous road, and it's dream come true to be given this great opportunity. It's truly a privilege to be able to rehearse in Germany and tour Europe with these talented musicians and I couldn't be more ecstatic!!
I am very optimistic about this next chapter and I am looking forward to writing and touring with both of my bands. I want to assure everyone that Black Table is hard at work writing our new record and that I wouldn't be here without my musical brother and sister Ryan Fleming and Mers Sumida!! Thank you! Cheers to the future."
We are writing a new album and plan to tour in 2014 and need to find a dedicated and clever bassist.
If you know anyone and they can do this list of stuff, please send them our way:
1. Must be able to practice twice a week in Newburgh, NY.
2. Must be willing to tour domestically and internationally.
3. Must be available to play live shows all over the east coast.
4. Have a basic recording program like Audacity to send and record music files.
5. Proactive and independent. None of us have time to micromanage anyone, everyone knows what they have to do and we like that work ethic.
6. Must have reliable transportation and professional equipment.
If interested, please send us links to mp3's, and if we dig it we will send back a working song for you to compose to. Matt had his own style, and we are not expecting anyone to imitate his work. We are open to other types of styles and expressions. thanks dudes!
Thanks-Stay Metal, Stay Brutal-\m/ -l-
