FROM HEAVY DAYS IN DOOMTOWN:
Today we are announcing the last band, but also some of the last announcement on the ART line up! This is another couple of people working together creating something combining music and art. One of them part of the organizing of the festival and the other a very gifted and energetic lady from Gothenburg working together creating a storm of thunder and lightning, an exhibition called WOMANOWAR!
Womanowar is a hybrid that comes in many forms but it is also a collaboration between Karin Lindgren and Pia Johansson Goldmann. Two ladies that has a lot of stuff going on! Working with many different medias such as photography, video art and illustrations they move forward with no mercy.
Womanowar is a funny feminist way to criticize the male-dominated hard rock and metal scene. It’s about female emancipation and patriarchal vengeance. This will be an overload of women raising hell, hard rock ladies, and motorcycle mamas. Mamas that no one can tame!
Here comes another announcement for the ART lineup! This year the Malmö music and art collective FLARES will come visit and decorate the HDDT festival! We love Flares for the way they combine art and music, just the way we like it! So therefore we are very happy they will come and work their magic at HDDT!
Flares is a creative heavy music fellowship that runs the metal club NATTEN in Malmö. Their club is a reckless force that enchants its participants and makes a living world of hard rock inside the room and it’s inhabitants. With music and sculptures, paintings, lights and bones the NATTEN night strives to bewilder all present creatures, living or dead. Håll det Heavy!
