JONAS RENKSE, frontman for Swedish progressive, atmospheric metal warriors KATATONIA has commented (in a METAL HAMMER interview) regarding THE GUARDIAN's survey regarding the economic back round of heavy and extreme metal, of wealth and prosperity or working class and alienated.

Last month, KATATONIA announced DANIEL LILJEKVIST has left the band as JP Asplund will take over on drums.

KATATONIA have unleashed a lyric video for the track "WAIT OUTSIDE", from the 10th anniversary of the bands classic release "Viva Emptiness", re-unleashed 10/28/2013. KATATONIA's "Viva Emptiness" was re-issued on VINYL 11/25/2013 via PEACEVILLE RECORDS.
KATATONIA completed a spring 2014 ACOUSTIC EUROPEAN tour.
