Greek black metal warriors ASTARTE have sadly announced bassist/vocalist TRISTESSA (MARIA) has passed away from "complications of Leukemia."



 ASTARTE unleashed "Demonized" 2/26/2007 via AVANT GARDE MUSIC.

Φτάσαμε στο σημειο χωρις γύρισμο πια ,η Mαριά μου ,η καρδιά της θα σταματήσει να χτυπά σε λίγες ώρες ,η κατάσταση της ειναι μη αναστρέψιμη .
Νικησε την αρρώστια δεν έχει λευχαιμία αλλά οι επιπλοκές ήταν μεγαλες.

Although we were prepared for this moment, the final news arrived to us today. 
Among the many people known in all these years, Maria was One of the purest of heart; determined but always respectful, genuine and discrete in her approaches: her phone calls (back in the pre internet-slavery era) always had the energy and serenity to change my day. 
There is no need to wish a rest in peace, her behaviour *was* peace in itself. 
I can not even imagine the void she will leave to her husband and son...

Non ci sono parole per questo grave lutto, una Regina del Metal ci ha abbandonato. Un abbraccio forte va al marito e al figlio da parte di tutti i membri dei Mortuary Drape.............. Blessed Be Tristessa.
