#2RESPECT: Legendary NY YANKEE shortstop DEREK JETER has played his last game at YANKEE STADIUM as he is retiring after 20 years in baseball and wearing pinstripes. JETER played to a rousing ovation of 50, 000 home fans, and played well with a double, and multiple RBI's,..
It seems like yesterday DEREK JETER came up and sparked the NY YANKEES to some awesome WORLD SERIES wins as the captain has had an heartfelt send off of closure and "RESPECT".
Although ITP V.014's author is a suffering (but optimistic NY METS FAN), I have friends that are YANKEES fans whom work at the stadium. It's very HARD in the entertainment industry to last 20 years, let alone 20 years of loyal service for one singular organization. I tip my cap to DEREK JETER and the NY YANKEES organization for LOYALTY, pride and a winning tradition.
Thank you CAPTAIN and RESPECT!!!
FROM MLB NETWORK:
"I'll play in some capacity. To be quite honest with you, this is probably my last game at shortstop. I want to remember that view I had right there today. But out of respect to the Boston fans and the rivalry, I will play in some capacity."
-Derek Jeter to Tom Verducci on if he' ll play for the New York Yankees against the Boston Red Sox this weekend. #FarewellCaptain
