ITP V.015 ONLY ONE PER COFFIN: R.I.P. KATHERINE LUDWIG (FORMER EDITOR METAL MANIACS)

KATHERINE LUDWIG, former editor of "the metal bible", METAL MANIACS passed away yesterday, 1/30/2015 at CAYUGA MEDICAL CENTER, Ithaca, New York.

KATHERINE LUDWIG died from Non Hodgkins Lymphoma as she was influential in introducing the world to extreme metal bands, including the second wave of Scandinavian black metal and the 90's death metal scene.

KATHERINE LUDWIG published many dark fiction and short sci-fi pieces.

Decibel and all underground metal fans mourn the passing of Katherine Ludwig. The founding editor of Metal Maniacs paved the way for everything we do with Decibel today. Our thoughts and hearts are with her family.

Very sorry to hear about the passing of Katherine Ludwig. She was cool as hell and Metal Maniacs Magazine was the way many of us found out about death metal and extreme music back in the early 90s. RIP Katherine!
