AKHLYS: INK DEAL WITH BLOOD MUSIC

U.S. black metal project AKHLYS  have signed a record deal with BLOOD MUSIC.

Crashing unexpectedly onto the shores of black metal with the most enthralling album of 2015, Akhlys's occult vision “The Dreaming I” evokes the most terrifying aspects of nightmares into a palpable nocturnal horror. Turning more than quite a few heads, the release sold out as soon as the entire album was streamed, creating an instant cult following around the obscure, long-dormant project.
Beginning six years ago as a lone, quiet, dark ambient solo project for Naas Alcameth (Nightbringer's frontman), the project went relatively unnoticed until only a few months ago. Alcameth recruited drummer Ain and secretly recorded a hypnotic sophomore masterwork, meditating on the darkest elements in the pantheon of dreams. “The Dreaming I” melds the meditation of Lustmord-influenced claustrophobic ambient with the knife-wielding production and tremolo attack of Nightbringer's greatest moments – eliciting Alcameth's greatest work to date.

The response was universally positive, and the decision was made to keep Akhlys as a serious project with the vision to move forward.
The band is currently hard at work on their third album, which is intended for release in 2016 through Blood Music.
