ITP V.016 SPORTS: CHICAGO CUBS WORLD SERIES 2016 CHAMPIONS 8-7 WIN OVER CLEVELAND INDIANS.

Congrats to the CHICAGO CUBS whom are WORLD SERIES 2016 (BASEBALL) CHAMPIONS after a 8-7 WIN OVER the CLEVELAND INDIANS.

CHICAGO CUBS came back from a 3-1 WORLD SERIES (game) deficit versus the CLEVELAND INDIANS to win the franchises first world series championship since 1908.

It was the bottom of the 8th as CHICAGO CUBS reliever Chapman saw his thee run lead dwindle to a 6-6 tie as the Cleveland Indians battled back to extend the game into extra innings. Then a rain delay at the top of the 10th inning..After the rain broke, the tie broke: Chicago Cubs star Ben Zobrist hit a RBI double off of Indians reliever Bryan Shaw as the Cubs took the lead (with an insurance run) 8-6.

Although the Cleveland Indians scored in the bottom of the 10th, the Chicago Cubs held on for a 8-7 win and the 2016 WORLD SERIES title.

They did it, finally.

The CHICAGO CUBS feature the most unique and loyal fan base in all of sports, from late CHICAGO CUBS announcer HARRY CAREY singing "Take Me Out To the Ball Game" every 7th inning of every game, to the Wrigley Field tradition of throwing the opposing teams home run (ball) back onto the field. Chicago Cubs star SAMMY SOSA inspired a new generation of CUBS fans during his 90's to 2004 career as he chased BABE RUTH's single season home run title.
CHICAGO CUBS fans are steeped in tradition of hope and loyalty with a touch of home grown, DIY humor, and class.
For all whom mean well as the road is paved with good intentions, and for all whom are rejected and dejected, it's the FANS whom come first, and NEVER their fault, it's the quality of players and management as the Chicago CUBS organization and fans have inspired an underdog character of redeeming possibilities.

Last year in 2015, CHICAGO CUBS fans showed true class during game 4 of the NLCS series as they gave their home team a standing ovation after being swept by the NEW YORK METS. The CUBS fans stayed and watched the NY METS players celebrate, congratulating the METS as their players gave autographs and high fives.

BTW, CHICAGO CUBS manager MADDON is one hell of an excellent coach.
