Ghanzi, Botswana based death metal warriors OVERTHRUST have sadly announced the death of drummer GAKEITSE BOTHALENTWA ("SUICIDE TORMENT"), who was run over by a car 12/24/2018.









  OVERTHRUST unleashed a SPLIT with KATUTURA, 7/8/2018 via ECOCENTRIC RECORDS and "DESECRATED DEEDS TO DECEASE", 5/2015.

Hello World, it is with huge sadness to inform you about the passing away of our brother, family, friend, band mate-Overthrust drummer Gakeitse Bothalentwa aka "Suicide Torment" He was hit by a car this morning around 01:00hrs together with few others who were at the arena of entertainment in Ghanzi, Botswana, unfortunately our brother didnt make it.While the police continue with investigations, funeral arrangements and other updates will be communicated to you.Your support in this difficult time is needed, as ussually for contributions of any amount you can afford is welcome.MAY OUR BROTHER'S SOUL REST IN PEACE!!

Our condolences to the OVERTHRUST family on the loss of the prodigiously talented Gakeitse Botlhalentwa, a drummer and a key figure in the African metal scene.

We are saddened to hear and let you know that our friend Gakeitse Bothalentwa aka "Suicide Torment", drummer for African death metal horde Overthrust Deathmetal band, was killed in a hit‘n‘run yesterday, December 25th. The police are investigating at the moment. He was only 29 years old and leaves a four year old son. He will be laid to rest on Sunday, December 30th in Ghanzi, Botswana.
May his soul rest in peace.
