Finnish melodic death metal warriors SWALLOW THE SUN have revealed the art work and track listing for the bands anticipated new release  "WHEN THE SHADOW IS FORCED INTO THE LIGHT", due to be unleashed 1/25/2019 via CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS. 

 SWALLOW THE SUN have announced guitarist JUHO RAIHA is officially the bands second guitarist as a few months earlier, MARKUS JAMSEN quit the band.

SWALLOW THE SUN – announce new album and epic single release
Finnish melancholy death-doom metal masters SWALLOW THE SUN will release their new album “When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light” on January 25th, 2019 through Century Media Records.
Only one month earlier, on December 21st, they will release a standalone 14-minutes epic single track called “Lumina Aurea”, both digitally and as 12” EP vinyl version.
Fueled by personal loss (the album title has its origins in Trees of Eternity's “Broken Mirror”) and powered by the will to continue, “When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light” showcases the group’s ability to maintain its signature sound while expanding upon horizons and diving deeper into the crevasse of doom-death metal. Even though the single and the album are conceptually connected, they are musically completely different. While “Lumina Aurea” - featuring Wardruna’s Einar Selvik and The Foreshadowing’s Marco I. Benevento - marks the band’s darkest and most sinister piece of music the band has ever released, “When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light” follows a more positive approach and continues in the vein of previous albums – first-rate death-doom in the typical style of SWALLOW THE SUN.

Swallow the Sunilta uusi albumi ja eeppisyyttä puhkuva singlejulkaisu
Suomalaisen melankolisen doomin mestari Swallow the Sun julkaisee uuden albuminsa “When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light” 25. tammikuuta. Levyn julkaisee Century Media Records. Kuukautta aiemmin, 21.12. julkaistaan 14 minuuttinen eeppinen single ”Lumina Aurea”, joka on saatavilla digitaalisesti ja 12” EP vinyyliversiona.
Syvästä henkilökohtaisesta menetyksestä, mutta rakkauden kuolemaa suuremmasta voimasta kertova uusi täysipitkä "When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light" jatkaa Swallow the Sunin tarinaa ylpeämpänä ja melodisempana kuin koskaan aiemmin. Mutta ennen uutta levyä on kuitenkin sukellettava syvään kuoleman virtaan jonka nimi on "Lumina Aurea", kappale jolla vierailevat myös Norjan ylpeys Einar Selvik Wardrunasta, ja Marco I. Benevento The Foreshadowing yhtyeistä.
"Lumina Aurea on kappale joka repi sydämeni palasiksi ja poltti sieluni mustaksi tuhkaksi. Siitä tuli eräänlainen hyvin syvä henkilökohtainen messu" kertoo säveltäjä ja sanoittaja Juha Raivio, "mutta minun täytyi kirjoittaa se, ei minulla ollut muuta vaihtoehtoa". "Lumina Aurea kuljetti minut kuitenkin sellaiseen paikkaan ja viimeiselle rajalle joka muistutti kuinka rakkaus on aina lopulta suurempi voima kuin kuolema koskaan voi olla" jatkaa Raivio.
