Norwegian avant garde black metal legends VED BUENS ENDE re-united for a concert in Oslo, Norway last night.
VED BUENS ENDE unleashed "WRITTEN IN WATERS", 10/1995 via MISANTHROPY RECORDS.
FROM STARDUST:
Dear friends,
In a total state of euphoria mixed with numbness and disbelief, but above all unbound joy, I'm about to share a news I never thought I would get the chance to share in this lifetime.
Something incredible seems to have taken place last night in Oslo, a very special gift for our good friend Priscilla's 40th birthday party.
Ved Buens Ende, the quintessential Godfathers of twisted avant-garde Nowergian Black Metal and creators of 1995's Written in Waters - only the most blissful alien album ever recorded, one that influenced and convinced a wide array of nutty musicians all over the world to also follow their own madness - have finally performed live on stage again, and from all witness accounts, the show was exceeding all expectations. WHAT.
The lineup was:
Czral (Carl-Michael Eide, original VBE member, Aura Noir, Virus, ex DHG, ex Ulver)
Vicotnik (Yusaf Parvez, original VBE member, DHG)
Skoll (Hugh Steven James Minga, original member, Arcturus, ex Ulver, Fimbulwinter)
I.C.S. Vortex (Simen Hestnæs, Arcturus, Borknagar, ex Dimmu Borgir)
Øyvind Myrvoll (Nidingr, DHG)
I woke up this morning to the shocking news shared by my good friend Einz (Virus). I honestly believed I was still dreaming, but it turns out this is indeed very much real as more people who witnessed the rare moment are now talking about it.
I'm filled with such immense joy right now. Nothing can wipe the smile off my face for the following weeks. What a miracle. Spread the good word my friends. Ved Buens Ende is back!
