ITP V.019 SOCIAL JUSTICE: 50th ANNIVERSARY OF STONEWALL RIOTS

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the STONEWALL RIOTS in New York, City New York, U.S.A. (Greenwich village).

In 1969, police tried to shut down STONEWALL INN, a well known bar as police cited the bar for having gay patrons. New York Police Department raided the bar and an uprising (riot) took place that sparked the first wave of LGBTQ rights.
