We have 3 more names to throw on the fire for 2020.
First, we are so proud to have invited OBSEQUIAE on board, for one of their precious few live appearances. Obsequiae weave the sound of medieval legend - an archaic an elegant take on black metal truly worthy of great castles… and certainly at home in the grandeur of the Tetons. This is not one to miss.
We are also quite excited to bring Dreadnought back to the valley, as the Colorado crew brought one of the most unforgettable performances at our inaugural event on this grounds a few years ago. Coming off of the incredible and unclassifiable effort in this year’s “Emergence” (Profound Lore), we can’t wait to witness what the band creates in this setting in 2020.

And last, it is with great pleasure that we present Tchornobog with their only US performance of 2020. The international entity from the vomiting depths of the black/death underground made quite an impression with their self titled debut, making the rounds at MDF, Austria’s House of the Holy, and signing with Prophecy Productions for forthcoming work. We are glad to present the only stage for this darkness on this side of the pond next year.
We have a few more announcements coming next week - including things beyond just the bands playing - that we have been itching to tell you about. Until then, enjoy some of this music in the cold weather (or whatever weather you may have in your corner of the world).
The fire builds higher!


So, let’s talk about some of the bands we will be bringing to the Mountains this year, shall we?
First up, we are honored to present a special set - an all new collaboration of Pacific Northwest torchbearers of beautiful doom Bell Witch with our incredible friend and Fire In The Mountains alumni Aerial Ruin. A rare treat to see the pairing perform together, and a fitting home here in this landscape.
Next, we are so excited to up the irons with Eternal Champion, who keep the spirit of true heavy metal alive better than none other today. The band makes the trip for a sole, one-off show in front of the Tetons to deliver a set of raised fists and clashing swords. Heavy metal lives, and Eternal Champion may have a unique surprise in store for us as well.

Finally, the young black-death trailblazers in Texas’s Haunter will be taking the stage this year. A swirling darkness and a sense of aggressive melancholy that has been amiss for the last couple of decades, the band comes off of one of our favorite releases of 2019 in “SACRAMENTAL DEATH QUALIA” (I, Voidhanger). Worth a listen for the uninitiated, but the live show is hard to ignore.
We are so pleased to welcome these artists aboard this event, and look forward to revealing what else we have in store - including some more artists of our own, as well as the band’s Mr. Bjornson has chosen to bring to the Tetons this year. We will be building quite a fire.
