Honour his indomitable spirit ...we ALL miss you Oh Wise One!!!

FROM PEACEVILLE RECORDS:

Gone but never forgotten: Chris Reifert from Violation Wound and Autopsy (Official) shares his thoughts - Motorhead is something that just about every fan of metal or hard rock can agree on. You can't deny it, so don't fool yourself by trying! For me it all started with buying a little button at a record store at the tender age of 13 when I'd never heard of the band. It had a picture of them on it and said "White Line Fever", the meaning of which was totally lost on me at the time. They just looked so cool I knew I'd love them and next thing I knew, a neighborhood friend loaned me "Iron Fist", which was the new album at the time. It felt like it was meant for me and just about blew my socks off. YES! Fast forward a few decades of being a MotorFan and I heard the seemingly impossible news that Lemmy had told planet earth to piss off. Fuck. Shortly after the aforementioned gut wrenching event, Big Joe (Violation Wound bassist) said we should write a song called 'The Day Lemmy Died'. It seemed like something that should be addressed but the idea sat around for a while before it made it into some sort of audio form. If you're listening to this track, this is where my mind went when revisiting that title. There could be no lyrics for it, it wouldn't be possible. On the other side of the Ace card is what Lemmy left behind for all of us to enjoy and raise our middle fingers to for the rest of our fragile lives. Can you imagine a world without Lemmy and Motorhead? I can't either. Got a life altering or just plain cool Lemmy story to share? Let's hear it!

FROM METALLICA:
