 FROM DEMOCRACY NOW:

In Wisconsin, the U.S. Justice Department said Wednesday it will launch an independent investigation into the police shooting of Jacob Blake, whose shooter was identified Wednesday for the first time as Kenosha police officer Rusten Sheskey.

FROM ACLU:

We’re calling for the resignations of the police chief and sheriff in Kenosha, Wisconsin, following the lead of organizers on the ground in Kenosha after the shooting of Jacob Blake by police and the murder of two protestors who were shot by a 17-year-old participating in an armed counter-protest.
Sheriff David Beth’s deputies not only socialized with white supremacist counter-protestors on Tuesday, but allowed the shooter to leave the scene. Police Chief Daniel Miskinis blamed the victims in Tuesday night’s shooting for their own deaths. We strongly condemn these actions, which uphold and defend white supremacy, while demonizing people who were murdered for exercising their First Amendment rights and speaking out against police violence.
To call for Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth's resignation, call Governor Tony Evers' office at (608) 266-1212.
To call for Kenosha Police Chief Daniel Miskinis' resignation, contact the Kenosha Police and Fire Commission at (262) 653-4135
Beth and Miskinis must resign. We demand accountability. We demand justice.
