REVENGE: "So bottom feeders dug up an interview from 26 years ago, made by an, at that time, 18 year old kid who joined Revenge as a Session musician a decade later. That interview contains unnacceptable racial slurs."

REVENGE unleashed "DECEIVER. DISEASED.MIASMIC" (EP), 12/7/2018 via SEASON OF MIST UNDERGROUND ACTIVISTS.

REVENGE unleashed "BEHOLD.TOTAL. REJECTION", 11/13/2015 via SEASON OF MIST UNDERGROUND ACTIVISTS.

FROM SEASON OF MIST:

So bottom feeders dug up an interview from 26 years ago, made by an, at that time, 18 year old kid who joined Revenge as a Session musician a decade later.
That interview contains unnacceptable racial slurs.
First Revenge is, and always been J Read. The others are session musicians. They do not speak for Revenge.
Second, the interview is two decades old made by a kid. If that interview was recent or made in the name Revenge, then we would react very differently.
Let me be clear, I, or we at Season of Mist, do not deem ANY of those words acceptable. ANY OF IT. We stand against racism and white supremacy. Our track record speaks for itself in term of inclusion, diversity with bands of every ethnicity.
But what we stand against too, is cancel culture and those threatening to boycott us.
Being against racism doesn’t mean standing for nowadays cancel culture either.
