After various SPLIT'S and a few full lengths, Scotland's  HELLRIPPER have shot tight into underground black metal consciousness. 

HELLRIPPER a one man black metal project, devours the darkness of being into a cauldron of scalding riffs. 

Here ITP V.023 has  HELLRIPPER'S new release  "WARLOCKS GRIM AND WITHERED HAGS" on tap for review. 

HELLRIPPER'S "WARLOCKS GRIM AND WITHERED HAGS" kicks off with "THE NUCKELAVEE", a fast and technical hellride with many twists and turns.HELLRIPPER'S  "THE NUCKELAVEE" features awesome songwriting with great black metal rasps. 

HELLRIPPER'S "I, THE DECEIVER" features fast thrash drumming set to a malevolent speed metal riff to die for. "I, THE DECEIVER" relentless attack and solos are catchy. 

The title track from HELLRIPPER'S "WARLOCKS GRIM AND WITHERED HAGS" invokes both a heavy and melodic sound with quality lead guitar riffs..WARLOCKS GRIM AND WITHERED HAGS features some awesome guitar solos melded with good quality songwriting. . . 

HELLRIPPER'S "GOAT VOMIT NIGHTMARE" enters fast and tight, pure black speed metal thrash. HELLRIPPER'S "GOAT VOMIT NIGHTMARE" features some godly solos melded with melodic bliss. 

HELLRIPPER'S "THE CURSED CARRION CROWN" is amply VICIOUS showing obvious SLAYER influences. Malevolent riffing, blast beats and speed take the listener on an old school black metal journey as HELLRIPPER'S "THE CURSED CARRION CROWN" is sure to get the heads banging. 

.HELLRIPPER'S "THE HISSING MARCHES". invokes a MOTORHEAD influence, a blackened speed metal anthem for the ages. Fast, brutal, technical, good solos and to the point. 

.HELLRIPPER'S   "POISON WOMB (THE CURSE OF THE WITCH)" features excellent songwriting and great solos melded with speed, thrash and melodic elements.   . 

HELLRIPPER'S "WARLOCKS GRIM AND WITHERED HAGS" closes with "MESTER STOOR WORM", a  blackened thrash track with technical flourishes, blast beats. Mid way through "MESTER STOOR WORM", an acoustic part segues into a new riff with death metal vocals, The solos featured on "MESTER STOOR WORM" are simply magnificent and creative. 

HELLRIPPER'S "WARLOCKS GRIM AND WITHERED HAGS" is one amazing hellride. JAMES MCBAIN ("HELLRIPPER") is one talented man. It's hard to believe one man plays all the instruments in HELLRIPPER. MCBAIN does play every instrument with zeal and flair. 

HELLRIPPER meld blackened, speed, thrash with technical and melodic moments. All of this tied together with great songwriting as  "WARLOCKS GRIM AND WITHERED HAGS"  could be AOTY. (ALBUM OF THE YEAR). 

HELLRIPPER simply RIPS, buy this release.
