FROM NASUM:

The entire Nasum family mourns the passing of Blake Harrison of Pig Destroyer. Very sad news indeed. Here’s a clip of Pig Destroyer on our mutual tour of Japan in 2012, this supported by Jon and our tour manager Janne in a Negative Approach cover. R.I.P.

 FROM MARYLAND DEATH FEST:

RIP, Blake Harrison.
You were a real one, and you'll be missed by many.

FROM NOISEM:
It's with heavy hearts we have to say goodbye to our friend Blake Harrison today. He was a fixture in the scene when we were cutting our teeth as a young band in Baltimore. Blake was always great fun to hang and chat with and if it weren't for the chance encounter meeting him we wouldn't be where we are as a band.
If it wasn't for his enthusiasm and belief in us as a band we would have never put out our first record on a label or done any of the crazy shit that's followed. Blake and Pig Destroyer took us under their wing and stuck us on sick bills frequently which gave us a massive push when we needed it. We can't thank Blake enough for being the kind, funny and generous guy he was over the years and we will miss him dearly. 💔

FROM SLAVES TO THE GRIND (DOCUMENTARY):

I just heard about the passing of Pig Destroyer’s Blake Harrison.
Blake was a funny, kind and talented musician and each time we saw each other we chatted like complete nerds about music. He will be greatly missed! RIP Blake !

FROM REPTILIAN RECORDS:
"It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to one of my favorites, Blake Harrison, a true friend and creative comedic genius. Blake was always proud of how many times he appeared on Reptilian releases, having been a member of DAYBREAK, TRIAC, and the brains behind HATEBEAK, before touring many countries in PIG DESTROYER. We spent years watching B-movies, discussing the Zodiac Killer, laughing together, and having whole conversations made up of Longmont Potion Castle quotes. We had kept in frequent contact since I moved south and he even visited a few times. He was an original, a character, a hilarious creative force, and a loyal and trustworthy friend. This is a loss to us all, he will be missed and will live on in the hearts, minds, and record collections of many. Hail Blake 'The Snake' Harrison!"

FROM REPULSION:

FROM TODAY IS THE DAY:
My heart goes out to the family of Blake Harrisson, Pig Destroyer, and their fans. Blake was always a great guy to hang and talk with. He was super talented and together with Scott Hull and Pig Destroyer, they created some of the heaviest music of our time. RIP Blake, you will always be in our thoughts.

FROM OBSCENE EXTREME FEST:

Thanx my friend being such an original and nice person!!! Its hard to believe we will not meet again!!! Blake you have been one and only...I am still laughing so much thinking about your first show at OEF back in 2015 when stage guys wanted to kick you out of the stage during start of your show thinking you are just another crazy fan!!! All strenght to your family!!! Pig Destroyer

FROM KUMAS CORNER:

Rest In Power Blake Harrison.
Thanks for all the incredible music

FROM MISERY INDEX:
Sending condolences to the community and ourselves for our recently departed brother Blake Harrison. From Jason, “Travel well and rest in peace Blake Harrison @thepartyboat ... The story was not supposed to end this way. With the reality sinking in, I am thankful we shared so many, many good times and laughs together. A pint of Guinness is held high in your name forever. Love you brother. Condolences especially to your family and to your partner in life Lindsey

FROM HOUSE CORE HORROR FILM FESTIVAL:
It's with a heavy heart that we share the news that Blake Harrison is no longer with us. Blake was the heart of Pig Destroyer for two decades, and his tragic passing at 48 has hit everyone at Housecore Records immensely hard. As you know, Adam Jarvis of Scour is a PD member, and John Jarvis was also in the band for some time. Pig Destroyer were HHFF alumni, and part of our extended family. Play his music loud today and hold on tight to those you love. Our thoughts are with Blake's family, friends and fans today.

FROM PIG DESTROYER:

Blake Hollingsworth Harrison has been our spirit animal for over 20 years.
In the early oughts, Blake’s band Daybreak and Pig Destroyer were both fledgling bands of malcontents fighting to establish our footprint in the scene. Eventually, Blake joined PD in early 2004 helping with merch on the Grind Over UK tour. Thus began a creative brotherhood and friendship that would span over two decades, across many countries, and over several albums.
Blake joined PD as our full time sound designer in the space leading up to Phantom Limb. From there we all learned together how to make a band work. We all shared the same values and basic beliefs in what we were doing while quickly becoming a tight family.
Everyone that knew Blake loved Blake. Light bent around him. You only had to meet him once. We in Pig Destroyer are forever grateful for the time we’ve been able to share with him.
Thank you for everything Blake. Thanks for the million memories, laughs, and stories. You are etched into the bedrock of our lives.
God speed Blake, you rascal. Love you man

MORE BLAKE HARRISON TRIBUTES SOON.
